Today I attempted to play my new Madden 08 and the console would not read the disk. I also attempted to play other PS3 games that have repeatedly worked before today with no luck.

During the attempt to update to the latest PS3 drivers, I encountered error code 8002F149. The system repeatedly tries to reinstall the updates that were easily obtained thanks to the input by Dallange but always come back to this error.

I just wanted to communicate why my PSP is “malfunctioning.”

i’ve had my slim psp since it’s launch, everything worked fine on it, online, umd’s remote play. Everything was perfect until my dad placed it on top of my router, ever since its been screwed, it does not read my umd’s and when i finally do get to play if i press the x, select, start, or right and down d-pad buttons the “do you want to quit this game” screen appears which should only come out when i press the home button….i believe that it being placed on the router caused static and screwed up my psp….can anyone please help me….if not i’ll be forced to get a new psp

I am having this same problem, but unfortunately I modded my PS3 with a manually powered disc eject, to play my imported ps2 games so I can’t rely on the warranty. I need a real “FIX” for “ps3 update error 8002f149” I dont know if I can maybe reformat the HDD through a computer or maybe there is some other way. But I really need some help!

Just opened this thing for my son ( ps3 80gb) got the error 8002f149. I cant tell you how happy I am. Tomorrow is christmas eve and all he wanted and all I got him was the ps3. I should have taken him to vegas. Of course sony after I found the phone number for Sony it was closed. I can only hope that because none of their employees are from this country that they will be open tomorrow

When we insert game, or movies, nothing happens. It won’t give icon to play a game. Its as if the disc drive isn’t running. We have tryed resetting the sysem config. Also downloaded 2.10 update. This did absolutely nothing. This machine is only 2 months old???

When I switch on my PS3 (60meg) system it turns on for anything from 1 to 5 seconds and then shuts down.. The red light comes on and I then get 3 beeps … It can’t be the heat element as I haven’t used it for 3 weeks and its not in a place where it can overheat…

I was pretty proud because i bought my first PSP and it worked great, (i was just testing it) so i bought it Officially… And then everything went to a baddd turn and it cost me like $200 just to get it and the games cost alot more i think anyways i bought it and took it home- and i laid it on my desk, went to sleep and when i wokeup in the morning i ate and once i came home from work i played on it for the 2nd time of its brand new life and i pressed One button softly and it all fell apart and i live nobdoy with so noone broke itfor me! I cant aford another whatdoido?

TOKYO–About 4,800 Japanese PSPs have been returned to Sony due to problems with the handheld’s square button, according to a recent interview with Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi in Nikkei Business magazine.

Kutaragi acknowledged that the button is less responsive than the others, in part because it’s so close to the PSP’s 480×272 screen. Because there isn’t enough room to put the square button’s detection switch directly underneath, it’s off to the right, making it less responsive–and sometimes causing it to stick.

Nikkei Business reported that, to date, .6 percent of the 800,000 shipped units have been returned to Sony for repair. Kutaragi was unapologetic about the issue: “This is the design that we came up with. There may be people that complain about its usability, but that’s something which users and game software developers will have to adapt to. I didn’t want the PSP’s LCD screen to become any smaller than this, nor did I want its machine body to become any larger.

“The button’s location is [architectured] on purpose,” Kutaragi added. “It’s according to specifications. This is something that we’ve created, and this is our specification. There was a clear purpose to it, and it wasn’t a mistake.”

Offering additional testimony praising the handheld, Kutaragi said, “I believe we made the most beautiful thing in the world. Nobody would criticize a renowned architect’s blueprint that the position of a gate is wrong. It’s the same as that.”

Sims 3 is the BEST!!!
When i first got it i liked it but didn’t love it,,,then i played my old sims 2 game. I realized how much better the Graphics and all around game play is.

Some Good Features are
online item downloads
expansions so it never gets boring or dull
sims, house, world, and item editing

the best expansions in my opinion are generations, ambitions, late night, and pets. The sims already lets you do a lot more than another sims game but with these it just adds on.

Generations gives you more to do family wise. Children can play imaginary games, elderly can reminisce, you can record home movies, make scrapbooks from lifetime milestones from buying your first house to holding your kid for the first time.

Ambitions gives you more to do profession wise. You can have a wider variety of jobs. Doctor, teacher, criminal, etc. But also, you can have professions that you actually interact with people and do on your own time: investigator, ghost hunter, Designer( fashion/home), fire fighter, day care, and more. Plus you already et self employed for being an artist and stuff.

Late night gives you clubs and new professions such as being in a band or a performer. You get to live in those huge skyscraper buildings if you choose. You also get to perform on keyboards, guitar, or drums.

Pets of course ives you pets. It includes horses, cats, dogs, birds, and also small pets like squirrels, mice, snakes, lizards, etc.

The game is wonderful,, it can’t really be explained to sound as Good as it is. You just have to see for your self. Just don’t jude it on first game play whether you like it or not you will love it after expansions and online item downloads like new houses, hair types, clothing, and more.

Some of the better commercial 2D animation programs such as Digicel Flipbook, Toon Boom, TVPaint, TAB, and PAP, have Student or Express versions that are fairly inexpensive. However, you might be disappointed by how crippled these stripped down programs are compared to their more expensive Pro versions. But if you look hard enough you should be able to find them cracked online (rapidshare, bittorrent). There are some free alternatives.

If you’re doing old school drawn on paper frame by frame stuff or stop-motion or 2D, I’d suggest MonkeyJam. It’s free.

If you want to do Flash animation like the stuff on Newgrounds.com, either break down and buy Adobe Flash or you can try Creatoon which is free. It’s not Flash, but it also does symbol oriented
animation.

With the majority of animation programs you can import a single audio track for lip syncing purposes, but you need to do all the major editing and sound work in a video editing program like Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.
