Your Questions About Food Network

Helen asks…

To people who have been watching The Next Food Network Star…?

I watched a few episodes of The Next Food Network Star, and I really liked Debbie. I haven’t seen it for a couple weeks, but now everyone is saying that Debbie is a liar or that she “showed her true colors” or something, and that’s why she was eliminated. Did I miss something? What happened? She seemed nice enough when I was watching before!

Nagesh answers:

I love this show and was happy when Debbie left. She is a liar and she’s sneaky and she’s the type of person who when confronted, lies first and comes up w/ excuses rather than admit her fault.

One week she and Melissa and Jamika were in the kitchen and had to prepare the food for 2 other starts who were assigned to hosting. Debbie was the manager and rather than take charge..
She just helped herself and took time making her own food forcing Melissa and Jamika to make their own and then the food of the other 2 contestants and then at panel,
Debbie acted like she was amazing in the kitchen and did all the work, etc..
But it came out what a liar she was.

2 weeks ago she forgot to put capers in her dish (she was assigned certain must use ingrediants) and when asked where they were, first thing she said was that they were in the dressing..
LIE
but then she changed her story.

She’s just a compulsive liar.

I want Melissa to win but Jeffrey’s nice too.

Donna asks…

Food Network new show?

So theres this new show on food network called Bitchin’ Kitchen.
Do you guys like the show?? Personally i think its a good show but more of a comedy for me =)

Nagesh answers:

I’ve never heard of it so i looked it up. Apparently it’s just a canada thing 🙁 too bad it looks interesting. Maybe i can find it online somewhere.

“Toronto—Bitchin’ Kitchen is headed to Food Network Canada which has greenlit the edgy cooking show, slated for production this Fall 09’. Executive producers Tricon Film & Television will be debuting the Bitchin’ Kitchen TV series this week at MIPTV in Cannes.

Bitchin’ Kitchen is a 6 X 30 series that follows Nadia G — dubbed the “anti-Rachael Ray,” on a riotous romp through the kitchen. The show started out as a mobile and web series, winning the coveted Wave Award for ‘Favorite Mobile Comedy Series’ after its first season on air –- beating out Conan O’Brian’s mobile series. The quirky and fun content was quickly picked up by the social networks and went viral on Youtube and iTunes.”

Ken asks…

what do you watch more: food network or travel channel?

i like em both, especially bourdain and zimmern. the food channel tends to make me hungry though
andrew zimmern has a new show coming up called bizarre world starting sept. 1st at 10pm. i think food will still be featured though lol

Nagesh answers:

Food network. The only show i really watch on the travel channel is Man vs. Food. Although my hubby said that anthony bourdain is worth watching and oh i lied- i have seen bizarre foods but don’t make a habit out of watching it.
