Your Questions About Where Can I Download Old Movies

Helen asks…

How do I move data from a fat PS3 to a new slip ps3?

I‘m selling my 80gb fat ps3 to my brother so i can buy a new slim PS3 but I want to keep all my games that are downloaded to my old ps3. Is there a way to transfer all my movies and games that are downloaded on my old one to my new slim one?

Nagesh answers:

Yes, the easiest way to do so is to use the PS3 Backup utility.

For this you need an external (or backpack) drive.

Connect the drive to the PS3 through a USB cable. After the drive is connected, go to System Setting and choose Backup Utility and Backup. Choose to back up to the external drive and it will back up the information on the drive.

Then all you have to do is connect the external drive to the new PS3, choose the Backup Utility and this time choose Restore.

Some things won’t be backed up because of copyright issues, but should be able to be downloaded again to the same account.

I hope this helps you

How do I upload movie clips from my Kodak M1033 camera onto my Mac computer?

I recently got this new camera, and it opens up to upload pictures just fine in iPhoto. The camera came with this easy share software but I don’t have the latest version of Mac the easy share software will work for. I have a USB cable of course, but is there anyway I can access the camera to download video clips? Do I need a different cable? Are there any other softwares I can download for mac that will upload the video? Thank you.

Nagesh answers:

Some of the older versions of iPhoto don’t download video clips.

The simplest way to get the video files off your camera is to get a USB cardreader for your Mac that can read the SD card from your camera.

This will allow you to directly mount the SD card on the Mac as a removable drive and then you can download the videos directly.

Another thing you can try is using Image Capture, another bit of mac software that you will find in the Applications folder. I can’t remember if it works with videos, or if the older versions of it don’t work with video, but it’s worth a try.

What do you think of the movie GREEN FRIED TOMATOES?

i am now downloading this movie. I read some reviews and it said that the movie was good. But sometimes some reviews were made to sell the movies. So the writers said all good feedbacks about the movie ,not the real one. hmmm.. so what do you think about it? did you watched it already?

Nagesh answers:

This is one of my favorite movies! I can watch it again and again. It’s based on a novel by Fannie Flagg. The main idea of the story is that a menopausal housewife (Kathy Bates) in the modern day (1980’s) is feeling her life no longer has purpose. She is looking for happiness in all the wrong ways. She meets an interesting old woman (Jessica Tandy) at a nursing home while visiting a relative of her husband’s. She reveals to the old woman how unhappy she is with her life. The old woman begins telling her a story about people she knew growing up in Whistle Stop, Alabama in the 1920’s. The movie jumps to that time and place. This is where the real story starts! It takes you through about 10 or 15 years, give or take a few, of the lives of Idgie Threadgoode (Mary Stewart Masterson) and Ruth Jamison (Mary-Louise Parker). They are two women who form a bond that gets them through a number of life altering situations. There’s even a murder mystery to solve! Things sure were done differently in the South! Through the tales told by the old woman, Kathy Bates’ character discovers she has the ability to overcome her own crisis. “Towanda!”

Random fact: In the book, Idgie Threadgoode and Ruth Jamison have a lesbian relationship, but the movie gives the impression that they were just the very best of friends with a sisterly relationship.

How do I download a video to a floppy or cd to play later or transfer to another computer?

Want to download a short video to play on another computer. Will I need a bunner on my computer to do so? can it be saved to floppy? How can I be sure it got downloaded properly?
Thanks in advance!!!

Nagesh answers:

If you have a newish computer then it is likely to already have a at least a CD burner. Look on the CD tray and it should have a logo with compact disc rewritable (or writable if its older). If you need step by step help to save the file to a CD ask. What computer do you have? Or when did you buy it? It won’t fit on a floppy. USB would be the easiest if you have USB ports and a USB stick.

To make sure it downloaded properly when you save it, save it to your desktop. Then you’ll be able to play the movie and see if it works or not while its still on your computer.

If you have none of these or aren’t sure, you can attach the file in an email to yourself if the filesize is below a certain amount depending on which email service you use. You can then log onto the other computer and download the file again there.
