What places would let me review movies for them?
I’m currently an english major and in my first year of college. I was wondering if any places online or newspapers or magazines would let me write movie reviews for them. My goal isn’t to make money, it’s to build up my resume (I don’t want to be a journalist. I want o be a screenwriter.) Are there any places that would let an 18 year old review movies for them?

If you sign up for an imdb pro account you can set up a profile there. Just go out and hire (or download) movies and write reviews for them. Try do reviews for movies with none of minimal reviews so you can get listed on the actual movie page and make a name for yourself.
You can also proposition movie review websites (they will make money from ads shown) for some sort of revenue share if your reviews generate them some good money.
If those 2 options arnt to your liking go to freelancer.com and sign up. People are always looking to hire people to review movies for them. You might only be able to generate a few bucks for a review (cos you have heaps of indian competition) but you will be able to still make a name foryourself and get some lunch money š

How do you make downloaded movies run smoother?
I have a EEE pc and some movies that I download from Vuze run choppy. I use this video player called VLC media player. Maybe my computer can’t play HD video well. I don’t know what the problem is exactly but i need help. any ideas

I owned an Eee PC, and I do know that some of the older ones won’t play HD videos well. I believe all of the Eee PCs use the Intel Integrated Graphics, which isn’t very good for playing HD videos, or games. I had the 7″ model, and I only played standard definition videos. VLC player is a good media player though. I can play hd videos on my desktop fine with it, and it seems to handle playing them better than online places like YouTube.

Downloading movies for free is illegal. You have to pay a monthly subscription charge to a service like NetFlix or you can download them from iTunes for a charge per movie (you can also rent them from iTunes). You CAN however stream movies for free from certain sites with very limited commercial interruption (15 second commercial every 20-30 mins). A site like www.hulu.com is an example, however, the movies tend to be older and not current.
Downloading a copy from the internet is possible, but like i said it is illegal, and i don’t think this is the forum to be asking how to do illegal activities.

How do you timelaspe a video clip on windows live movie maker?
I’m trying to timelaspe a video CLIP and the adjust duration button is untouchable- that is, it’s grey and can not be clicked on. I’ve searched online for help, but I only find how to timelaspe pictures together- this is a VIDEO. Please help!

A better choice for WMM is the version 2 series. It was much more versatile than WLMM. You can get the older versions from http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/windows-movie-maker.html
Timelapse videos are pictures. It’s just a series a pictures taken over a period of time and put individually onto the timeline. The idea is to compress something that occurs over a period of time, hours, weeks, months, years, whatever into a few minutes or seconds. Each picture can have the duration it is onscreen for adjusted by stretching it out on the timeline.
