Your Questions About Download Movies Legal

Maria asks…

Is it legal to download a soundtrack if you own the movie or game?

For example, I own Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, it it legal for me to download it’s soundtrack?

Nagesh answers:

No.

Not if the soundtrack is available to buy. It is seperate from the movie and/or game.

Ken asks…

Is downloading movies/anime from www.tvfreeload.com legal? Will i get sued/fined?

I am referring to the files they offer when you sign up for an account.

Nagesh answers:

Legal? That’s a tough one, as tvfreeload is basically a search engine wrapper. What that means, is they do nothing more than find content on the web and point you to it. They are a glorified Google. So, from their standpoint, they do nothing wrong. They only point you to content, legal or not.

You have to be a sleuth and look to see if the material they grab is free to stream. Chances are, no. But will anyone go after you? Chances again are no.

People that go after pirates go after the big dogs. The people hosting and providing that material for download. So it becomes a personal moral question for yourself.

But tvfreeload in no way absolves you. Your choice and yours alone.

Robert asks…

I downloaded some movies but only some of them will copy into iTunes, how can i fix this?

They are legal movies so don’t start with that stuff.

They are also all in MP4 format.

Nagesh answers:

Try to convert them anyway- for ipod touch or iphone you can use this software:
www.movies2iphone.com

make sure they are not compressed in any way:
right click-> properties-> see in the upper line what its says
if it says “.rar” or “.zip” in the end of the file name- then it’s compressed, and you need to extract them using softwares like winzip or winrar.
(also if the file shows up as an archive file).
