How can I prove that the movies on my computer are legal if I ever had to?
I ripped them all from DVDs that I bought and was wondering if I would get into trouble if I couldn’t prove that they aren’t illegal downloads..

I’m not entirely certain of it legality, but stagevu.com has been working beautifully for me for years and it seems pretty legit. This site changed my life. You can stream or download. I’ve never gotten a virus from it, and if it were illegal it probably would not have lasted this long.

No. Hulu.com is a decent site to watch updated shows (like my favorites, Lost, Bones, etc.) and even a few older movies. It’s decent, but not great. It’s totally free–but you can’t download them.
Any downloading what so ever without paying for it is consider illegal, pretty much.
Netflix is the only other site that has an even better database, but again, I don’t think you can actually download the movies/tv shows. Plus, it’s pretty limited in what you can watch online. Most you have to order through DVD’s… And even then, you only get 2-3 disks at a time if it’s a really large tv show with multiple disks.

Just to watch them, not download, because I mean what’s the difference if I watch a movie online that’s already on DVD. Couldn’t I just go over my friend’s house and watch it? Kind of seems like the same thing.

Its illegal,
not exactly for you but the person who pirateded it (put it online) could go to jail or prob. Get fined
honestly i ve dont it but its a bad habit to get into,
it is for sure not llegal
