Your Questions About Download Old Movies Songs

Charles asks…

Are there any music download sites that offer parental control?

My ten year old got an MP3 player for Christmas. She often doesn’t know the name or artist of the songs she wants to download so she has just been browsing the download sites for music. Are there any sites that offer either parental controls so I can block out content not appropriate for her age, or that rates music (similar to movie/video game ratings) to provide me with an easy way to know what’s not appropriate for her. I would even settle for an “explicit lyrics” warning similar to what they put on CD’s you can buy in a store.

Nagesh answers:

ITunes. There are “explicit” ratings in the store. In iTunes, choose Edit > Preferences and then click Parental. You can have an adminastrator password to download select songs with your approval or just have explicit items blocked.

HELP!!!! MY computer is DEAD!!!!!!?

I wanted to download the new World Of Warcraft patch a few days ago, yet when I tried to, I found out my 80 gig Mac only has ONE GIG left on it. I did the math- I should have at least 30 or 40 left. I don’t download movies, iTunes only has 1,046 songs on it, iPhoto is nearly empty, what’s going on? I already went through all my files- nothing is taking up more space than it should. and WOW only takes up 8 gig. My comp. is almost 2 yrs old, it’s a Mac OSX 10.4 “Tiger”.

Any help? Email me if necessary

Nagesh answers:

You should try one of the GUI utilities that show you where your disk space is going:
“Omni DiskSweeper”: http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnidisksweeper/
or
“Disk Inventory X”: http://www.derlien.com/diskinventoryx/

Looking for real elevator music?

For a school video project I’m doing a spoof old-fashioned movie, and I need some actual old school elevator music. I don’t mean songs that have lyrics about elevators (like Aerosmith’s Love in an Elevator) I need music you could have really heard in an elevator, without words. Kind of boring and repetitive, imagine an educational movie from the sixties. A link to the song or a download would be great!

Thanks 😀

Nagesh answers:

The company that provided most of the elevator music or supermarket music was called Muzak. Maybe you can find information by a search. I don’t think they are in business as such.

Help please!! Songs disapeared of computer!!?

Ok, so like it says in the title, my songs disapeared from my PC!!! Well, actually I think that my 7 year old nephew was playing with my PC and then the PC frozed and now I can’t use the desktop of the computer in one account…So anyways, I’m using Ares to download music and I had tons of music and movies in my Ares music folder, but sense the computer frozed I had to make a new account on my computer and use Ares from there, but the songs don’t appear either!! I went to the other account (where I had my Ares working for the first time) and nothing!! Ares now don’t even connects to the internet =( What can I do? Is it possible that I get my songs back? If you got lost tell me and I’ll try to explain it again…THANKS!! ♥
I don’t think is in there…Oh crap I’ll have to download it again…Do you know any good sites to download music free?

Nagesh answers:

Try going to the “Recycle Bin” It’s one of the icons you see on your desktop. It looks like a little green garbage can Click it and see if it’s there. If it’s not there then probably your computer refreshed itself because it had too much in it.

Helen asks…

What is the name of this hindi song?

Some time ago, {adultswim} a block of shows shown on America’s Cartoon network, aired a promo for their cartoon “Home movies“. In the background of this promo, they play an old song that I’ve been trying for months to identify. The lyrics are a little hard to figure out because the character in the cartoon is gargling over them. If someone could please help me figure this out I’d be sooooo grateful!

here’s the link: http://www.asfdotcom.net/download/homemovies.php

the song is under the link that reads “Brendon gargling promo”

Nagesh answers:

Here are the words I could deciper:

dekh na loon din mein iss ko
raat nahin phir kat ke
baarah mahine ankhiyon se
jab yeh kahin woh ????
Apni? Haalat kar baithi
inn se mohabbat kar ke

Don’t know what song it is, I’ve never heard it before. I’ll keep an eye on it though. Good luck with the song search!
