The term is rip, not download. But yes, it is illegal. It’s copyright infringement, and carries a penalty of a fine up to $250,000.00 and up to five years in prison. If you own the DVD then it is legal for you to make a copy only for backup purposes, and only if the DVD is not encrypted.

I have recently moved into my own apartment and am looking for ways to download that 70’s show, the simpson, family guy, and a bunch of other shows. But i don’t know where to go, i need a place that’s cheap and legal if its free that’s great. But yeah plz help with some ideas i have to be able to download them and then burn them to a dvd
