Yes it is. Because you aren’t paying for it. The studios who made the movie aren’t getting paid for their hard work and effort for making the movie. Generally if you see the word torrent, it is illegal.

Is there a site that I can download movies?
I have a Creative Zen Vision:M and I want to be able to download full-length Movies and TV shows. I dont want to use something like limewire because that is very low quality, and takes a long time to download. Is there a legal program that I can download movies that fit my needs above and transfer to my Zen to watch (like itunes)?
I dont want to do anything illegal. I want a software to dowload the videos from a server (like itunes). Another good idea is to get a DVD ripper, but that’s illegal due to copyright laws. REMEMBER: I want to transfer these videos to my Zen Vision:M

Don’t use limewire I tried it and it is just a mess hard to find what you want.

For one torrent programs decrypt the file from a .torrent extension. What that means you are not violating anything cuz its NOT in a movie or file format. Its all just “HASH” and what you do after the utorrent (Or whatever you use) decrypts it is up to you. So legally you are NOT downloading anything but a Benign file for torrent. Its also not illegal to posses a “copied” file/program/movie again, its nothing for you to worry about. Recently Ive seen companies use torrents for their Freeware programs to keep the traffic down. I believe it was on legitorrents.info

I want to download movies off of lime wire and NOT share them when anyone, just my self. Is that ok by law? They can’t get me if I don’t share right? Are Lime Wire movies legal?
