ITunes is probably your best bet. I don’t know if it’ll let you burn it to a DVD. That’s probably not going to happen. If you want it on a DVD, then just buy the DVD.

Is it legal or not to download a movie off the internet, but own the physical (box) copy of it?
I want to download a couple movies for my iPod to watch on trips. AKA Harry Potter, I own all the DVD copies of them.

Yup. Just get them through Itunes
It isn’t legal to get them through torrents or other peer to peer programs for free regardless if you already own the CD or not. You can however make a copy of your own CDs

What are the cheapest LEGAL sites to download movies and TV episodes?
Perhaps I should elaborate given the first couple answers I received:
(1) iTunes is 3 bucks per TV episode… I’m looking for the cheapest thing out there and there’s no way that’s even close to it…
(2) Netflix won’t stream to where I work (Iraq).
So, I guess my question is a bit more complicated than I originally let on. If I could just use Google to find the answer, I would have. 🙂
I’m looking for a CHEAP way to watch TV episodes and movies while stationed in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.

U must pick a credible place, id say Itunes or something like that, something well known. Most movies and tv episodes have a set price.

Watching a film without somebody paying for it in anyway is illegal.
If I watch a DVDRip online it is the same as sneaking into a theater and watching it.
