Lizzie asks…
What’s with all the fuss over SOPA, PIPA, etc.? Since when is it righteous to support theft and piracy?
And whatever happened to actually buying CDs and DVDs instead of stealing everything online? It really annoys me that a) so many people are up in arms about this and b) that sites like Wikipedia are acting like it’s some awful human rights infringement. It really inconvenienced me when they shut their site down for a day. The fact that they were protesting a proposed law to combat theft/piracy really annoys me.
The few times I’ve downloaded movies for free, I found that the picture and sound quality was terrible and you could hear people laughing/coughing etc cos it had been filmed in a cinema. And it let in a load of viruses as well. I really don’t think it’s worth it and I don’t get why people are so defensive of their “right” to steal music/movies or put them online for free. There are already laws making sure that child/animal pornography can’t be legally put on the internet so why not outlaw internet piracy as well? I don’t get this idea that the internet should be some lawless Wild West, and that if it isn’t it infringes on people’s privacy or rights.
yeah i know it’s not going ahead or it’s been postponed or something…but wikipedia still has this irritating “we’re not done yet” message on their site and it realy infuriates me and suggests to me that this is still an issue for them and probs a lot of other people as well
@Maya Aya: Yeah, whatever happened to the freedom to walk into a shop and take whatever you want without paying for it? Is that what you mean?
@1230: That’s actually pretty scary. Especially as E Holder looks like a black Hitler.

Good movie sights? See details:)?
I love movies, but i’ve seen all the ones I own at home and I don’t want to have to pay for any more films i will only watch once. I watched a couple of movies on ‘Youtube’ but the quality was usually distorted (them films of which weren’t removed by Youtube because of copyright) I really want to know if there’s any sites out there, a bit like Youtube where I can watch films, no download required, free and legally. Bit much to ask? Naaaah 🙂 would be delighted if someone could help me!!!

Nintendo DS r4 chip, it this real?
I just read about this r4 chip that could be used to load free ds games onto a ds. Supposedly there’s a website that where you can download any ds game to this chip for free! I’m thinking it’s way too good to be true but then again i could be wrong- i mean i managed to get free music and ipod movies for free and legally so i’m hoping this is also one of those things.
Is this chip illegal including the sites with free ds games? and if it is legal are there going to be differences between store bought ds games and the ones on the r4 chip?
Thanks everyone!
Nagesh answers:
The R4 is a DS bootloader that allows users to play homebrew software (like games & media players) as well as DS ROMS.
The R4 requires a micro SD card to store the files, which is sold separately. This also makes the R4 every easy to use as it gives you drag-n-drop support with the micro SD card (with the appropriate SD card reader).
The R4 IS CONSIDER ILLEGAL as it has the potential for software piracy & copyright infringement because you play DS ROMS with it, which is one of the primary functions of the R4. Needless to say, the DS ROMS are highly illegal.
From what I’ve read, the majority of DS games played through the R4 run just as well as the retail copies of the game. However, the R4 require a little more power to run. This means that you’ll lose 15-30 minutes of power using the R4 under maximum brightness with a full charge.
While I can’t control what you would do, I hope this information will help.

Yep, there are some at youtube – split into 9-10 parts….BUT, did you know that the guys are riffing again?!?! Check out www.rifftrax.com – there you will find Mike, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo), Bill Corbett (last Crow) and other guest hosts riffing on movies again.
Joel just started up his own venture at www.CinematicTitanic.com along with Trace (original Crow/Dr F), TV’s Frank, Mary Jo Piel (Mrs Forrester) and J. Elvis Weinstein (from the KTMA days). I’ve watched several of the RiffTrax movies and they’re really good. Cinematic Titantic just released their first video last week and i haven’t seen that yet. The boys are back in town!!!!
