How to write blocking directions on a script?
I am a student director in my acting class and for an assignment we have to use blocking directions. Help!
I know about stage left, right, center stage, downstage and upstage. How to actually write it would be very helpful. Thanks so much!
Nagesh answers:
I like to put stage directions in brackets or italics. The important part is that it’s distinguishable from the dialogue so that it doesn’t get missed. How you do that is generally a stylistic choice unless your teacher gave you specific instructions.

If there were a Big bang and we came from a single point then why do galaxies move in different directions?
If there were a Big Bang and we came from a single point then why do galaxies move in different directions and not at an outward expansion that points to that single reference point? Some galaxies move side ways like throwing a frisbee face on and some galaxies move like a frisbee but all are moving in a random direction and not from a single point.
Nagesh answers:
For a few reasons.
1) Matter was not dispersed and expelled in perfectly parallel lines pointing outward from the central location of the big bang. Just like any other explosion you have seen on TV, the cloud it creates is not a perfect sphere of expanding material. Some material goes shooting out faster in one direction some slower in other directions. There also might have been numerous explosions that followed the big bang as the matter was still quite hot and unstable, creating further complexities.
2) As the matter from the big bang was not spread out uniformly, clumps of higher density came together to form galaxies and stars, etc. Just like our solar system has a motion around the center of our galaxy along one of the arms, galaxies are moving in their own groups (clusters), as well as super clusters that are gravitationally bound as well.
Since we are still moving away from the point where the big bang occurred, all galaxies are also moving away from us (and each other). Though, this does not give us a calculable center point of where the big bang occurred.

How do map sites obtain the information that they use to provide directions?
What is the name of the company or organization that gathers and compiles the information necessary to for others to provide directions? Who or what company provides this basic information?
Nagesh answers:
GIS companies gathers and compiles the information to provide directions for others.
How can a GIS use the information in a map? If the data to be used are not already in digital form, that is, in a form the computer can recognize, various techniques can capture the information. Maps can be digitized by hand-tracing with a computer mouse on the screen or on a digitizing tablet to collect the coordinates of features. Electronic scanners can also convert maps to digits (fig. 7). Coordinates from Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers can also be uploaded into a GIS (fig. 8).
A GIS can be used to emphasize the spatial relationships among the objects being mapped. While a computer-aided mapping system may represent a road simply as a line, a GIS may also recognize that road as the boundary between wetland and urban development between two census statistical areas.
Data capture—putting the information into the system—involves identifying the objects on the map, their absolute location on the Earth’s surface, and their spatial relationships. Software tools that automatically extract features from satellite images or aerial photographs are gradually replacing what has traditionally been a time-consuming capture process. Objects are identified in a series of attribute tables—the “information” part of a GIS. Spatial relationships, such as whether features intersect or whether they are adjacent, are the key to all GIS-based analysis.

How easy is it to get directions in Switzerland?
I will be walking from Milano, Italy to Zurich next month. I was wondering how easy it will be for me to find alternate routes and streets along the side of the highway. If I need to ask for directions, do most people know Italian? I do not know German or French at all. Also, is it easy to find cheap hostels or camp in the forest? Thanks!
Nagesh answers:
Getting directions is rather easy. People will usually try their best to answer them, and there are many sign posts. But please buy a good hiking map (or something similar). I would advice you top ask locals if the route you want to take is safe, things can change rather fast. Especially in the alps.
If you are not experienced please take a guide with you when crossing the alps. Many accidents happen…
Most Swiss people talk English. But in the German and French parts of Switzerland Italian isn`t common. I think you need some kind of dictionary or app (Please regard that you will have trouble using your mobile phone in some places…)
Don`t camp in the forest, this is forbidden. You can go to a campsite or a youth hostel, if you want it to be rather (!) cheap. Here is the youthostel website, it should give you an idea about how much it will cost… Http://www.jugendherbergen.eu/
We don`t really do cheap in switzerland. Please expect meals and accommodation to be way higher than you`re probably used to, it`s really important to have enough money.
I hope you have a safe and fun hike!

How to write future directions in a biology report?
Hi I’m doing a Year 11 EEI report on Yeast Fermentation and how temperature affects the amount of Carbon Dioxide produced.
My grade handed in our drafts recently and everyone got their reports back and EVERYONE had wrong future directions. I talked about baking and brewing alcohol and she literally laughed at me when I asked her what was wrong because she said what I had written was so trivial. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what future directions actually are (she didn’t explain) and if anyone had any ideas of future directions that I could write about. Thanks.
Nagesh answers:
Well, the term future directions does seem a bit confusing, but has anyone tried asking her what she meant exactly by it? If your class never actually did the lab itself, it sounds a but like a Design lab for IB Biology to me. Of course, I live in America so since I dont use terms like Year 11 or anything, I might be completely off the mark since I dont know the level of depth/general guidelines for your labs. But, from what I’m able guess (hopefully correctly), what you would need to do is just imagine your already an actual scientist and your writing up the procedure for this lab so that it can be replicated by other people. What would you need to say in these future directions so that anyone who wants to replicate the experiment will easily be able to understand the steps involved. What materials are needed? What is the set up of the experiment? Have you controlled for all the possible confounding variables in some way? What are the steps needed to carry out the experiment? How exactly would you measure the CO2 and what temperatures are you using in comparison to one another? Once you get your data how would you both analyze it and put it in a graph?
That was my personal interpretation of what she meant by future directions. Maybe you could discuss it with your classmates and see if they agree on what I said? Hopefully that helped at least a little bit, even if it was only a small amount.
