why can’t I start google earth in directx mode?
it runs in opengl, but not in directx. I have installed the directx driver, and have 32 bit color. screen resolution is 1440×900. the screen is fuzzy when down low, and loses what i perceive as 3d effects – things flatten out.

Where do you put directx files onto your computer when you get them off of a flash drive?
I need a higher version of Directx on my computer at home and the only way it tells me to get it is to download it from the Internet, but I don’t have the Internet at home so I was going to download it from another computer with the Internet and put it on my computer. Where do I put the file? How do I get it off the Flash drive?

You need to download the higher version of Directx, directx 9 if you have windows xp, direct x10 if you’ve got vista.
Download the installer, you can probably find it at www.download.com..save it somewhere
find the Directx you downloaded, plug in your flash drive, and drag the file into your flash drive; the flashdrive should be in the my computer screen.
Go home, plug in the flash drive, go to the my computer screen, doubleclick on your flash drive, an double click on the installer.

DirectX 11 with Vista and an integrated GPU?
I recently became aware that there is a release of DirectX 11 available for 32-bit Vista. My laptop is running 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium, currently with DirectX 10. It has 3GB of RAM, a 2-core 1.86GHz processor, and an Intel X3100 integrated graphics device. With that setup, would I see any benefit to performance or compatibility from installing DirectX 11? Are there any possible drawbacks, in terms of either performance or compatibility?

What is the best version of Directx to download for Sims 2?
i play sims 2 on my computer and yesterday it was working fine but then it messed up so i figure its directx thats the problem

You’ll find the best version is DirectX 9.0c, which the game is supposed to be ran on. Hope this helps.
