Chris asks…
Has anyone bought into the so-called scam that is “Direct Buy”?
They charge a huge fee, in the thousands of dollars, to belong to their “private buying club.” From extensive experience, I know their discounts “off retail prices” are laughable, just like their TV ads which belong on the comedy network. Just google direct buy and you will see the stories about rip-offs and high-pressure and so on. I don’t own nor work at nor invest in any home improvement store, and would hate to see people conned into the DB scheme, similar to the old amway, quixstar, Primerica insurance, etc, etc. Buyer beware!

Works well for some people, personally I would never join the club.

Has anyone visited a Direct Buy store?
Looking to see if it’s worth the drive from Central Wisconsin to Chicago to visit a Direct Buy store.
Nagesh answers:
Don’t do it. It’s a just this side of legal scam. You should be able to save more just by frugal shopping and shopping at industry specific stores rather than big box. IE if you need plumbing go to a large plumbing only supplier.

How can I buy the U.S stocks if I’m a foreigner who living in asia?
I want to invest U.S stocks like GE ,but I’m a asia man not living U.S.
I don’t like to invest through funds and I like direct buy the stocks by myself or agent. What the method I can do this?
Nagesh answers:
Some large U.S. Banks or brokerage firms have offices in major Asian cities. You can open an account with one of them. Many large Asian banks also have offices in New York, and you can open an account with one of them to buy U.S. Stocks. Find out what fees and commissions they will charge, since there can be considerable variation in the costs of trading among banks and brokerage firms. Over the long term, low transaction costs can significantly increase your returns.
