What is the best iPod for an 8yr old?
He does not have Internet, can we download games and movies at my house and still be able to play them when he goes home.

Not an iPod at all, IMHO. If I was going to get a portable media device for my 8 year old, I would get a used Android smart phone. Don’t bother to activate the phone (but he will be able to call 911). He will have a media player, camera, and portable game console. Plenty of free games in the Android Market (know known as Google Play).

Can someone help me with my home movie crisis?
I need to find a store that can professionally converts old DV (not miniDV) tapes to DVD format. are there possibly any nationwide store chains that provide such a service. My camera I used to run the tapes on is busted so i can‘t do this myself.

What are some free programs to make picture slideshows with music to them?
I used to use windows movie maker on my old computer but now that i downloaded it on my new laptop, it is different and wont let me add music. Is there a way i could get the old one back or a different program that will work for me?

How to make two videos play at the same time in windows live movie maker?
I remember in the original windows movie maker i was able to drag one video into the other so it looked like both the videos were playing at the same time but kind of faded looking inside eachother. Im now using the windows live movie maker and I was wondering how to make it do that? If anyone knows what I‘m talking about and knows how please help me out 🙁

Yes, I know what you’re talking about and, because WLMM has no Timeline, “ghosting” one video on another can’t be done.
The good news is that, if you have Windows 7, you can download either or both an XP version (2.6) or the original Vista version combined with a Windows 7 installer. Since I can’t live without all the goodies I’m used to using with the Vista version, it was the first thing I installed on my W7 computer when it was new 3 months ago.

If Vista was your old version and you decide to download it, take a look at all the great add-ons Blaine has for this version. They are all free.
Note: You do not have to uninstall the WLMM to install one or both of the other versions. I keep WLMM around because I like the way it does captioning and for its Pan and Zoom effects.

Where can I download a free and good quality cam software?
I updated the Cyberlink Youcam to the 5th one and it was a trial, and end up replacing the old one. I don’t want to purchase any software, is there another better Cam software I can download that is safe and free?

If you want to record videos from your webcam then for sure you would also want to edit and publish them. There’s no need for extra programs. You already have Windows Movie Maker. Set your webcam as the input source. Record your video and off you go!
