Your Questions About Download Old Movies Songs

Paul asks…

Can I transfer items from 1 ipod to another?

I have an 8GB iPod touch but I want to get one with more GB. Can I transfer my music, movies and apps from my old iPod to the new one?
Thank you so much in advance..

Nagesh answers:

You can put your music, videos from your old iPod back to your computer and iTunes first.
Go to iPod-tool.com and download the iPod to PC transfer software called Tansee iPod Transfer to help you backup all your iPod songs and videos onto your computer.
The advantage lies in that it utilizes iPod’s internal database to display your iPod’s files instantly. That means, when you connect your iPod to PC, this program will automatically display all music/videos on your iPod. Once click “Copy” button, all files would be copied onto your selected folder on your PC.
I advise you to use it. Really save time.

Why do people assume that the ipod is a music backup system – its NOT!

The Master files are on the computer in the itunes library and you really need to back these up directly or copy them onto the new PC its in”My DocumentsMy MusiciTunes”

you CAN Transfer PAID music and apps by logging into your itunes store account and authorising your computer (via the store menu) BEFORE plugging in the ipod then selecting Transfer purchases form the pop-up or the File Menu. However this will ONLY transfer BOUGHT music and APPS and not the imported stuff

The ipod is a SLAVE device to ONE itunes only although itunes can have many ipods. When you PAIR an iPod with a computer it erases all songs on it!!! And deletes pairing with original computer.

Sharing Copyrighted material such as Movies or Music is also illegal!

You cannot transfer music from an ipod to itunes as Itunes is the MASTER location of the music files. If you NEED to transfer music form your ipod to the computer as you have lost the original you need a 3rd party application (I use Yamipod for mac and ipod classic but iPhone explorer for the Touch models) but a whole range can be found on www.versiontracker.com and enter ipod transfer in the search box under your operating system.

Music transfer programs will ONLY work with MUSIC and NOT iPod touch apps.. You will need to download these again but once you have bought an app re-downloading it is also free no matter how much the original app cost!

I suggest copying the contents of the “iTunes Music” folder on your old computer onto the new one by USB hard disk, USB Flash memory or DVD-r

once you have the utility installed run it and close itunes! Connect the ipod (if itunes starts up and asks if you want to pair say NO and close itunes again). Then with the utility transfer the songs form the ipod to your hard disk.

Then disconnect the ipod, START itunes… Drop the files you have just transferred onto the itunes Library and once the files have been copied into the library you can delete the originals (NEVER MOVE or touch the itunes folder on your computer otherwise you will lose the music let itunes manage it for you).

Now reconnect the ipod and when it asks pair say YES and it will transfer the music to your computer.

If doing this with 2 computers you have to do this on both!!

Steven asks…

what would happen if i sync my itouch and sync it to my itunes, will it lose my data?

I connected a itouch to my laptop and to apply games it said it will sync with the ipod and replace with itunes library wll that delete my data?
my itouch is manually managed, so if i sync an application such as a game into it, will it override the data it alread has, or just imply the games?

Nagesh answers:

Yes, if you directly click sync, it will erase all music on your iPod and replace with the content of this new iTunes library.
But here is a solution. Simply use MediaWidget to move all library files from your iPod back to your computer and iTunes http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/MediaWidget.htm

It can transfer all iPod content to the iTunes on your computer, including iPod music, movies, playlists, videos, podcasts, ratings, last played, and more. It’s such a powerful one that many friends around me have used it for a long time. Easy and safe.

Now all songs (both new and old) are on your computer and iTunes, and you can sync your iPod with it safely without deleting any files.

Just free download it to try.

Can you give me a quick summary of wuthering heights?

I am thinking of buying the book but i am not exactly sure what it is like. I have heard it is really good. Please don’t give too much away. Thanks

Nagesh answers:

Definitely worth reading, but you could probably get it for free to borrow at the library.
It’s hard to keep up with, depending on how focused you are etc.
Basically it’s an old time love story.
A classic.
A little bit confusing, but you get the gist of it-Lockwood visits Thrushcross Grange. Nelly, the servant, tells Lockwood the story. You- the reader- get to kind of listen in on their conversation I guess. Also confusing, the names are similar (Catherine & Cathy etc.)

It’s the love between Catherine and Heathcliff. From when they meet, their ups and downs. Their other loves, etc.

It has a really good ending too.

If you don’t want to read it, you can download the audio free on itunes. And there’s always the movie.
And let’s not forget the song Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush or Pat Benetar (her version’s way better)
🙂

George asks…

Cool sounds or songs for my car stereo?

I have a system in my car with four way speakers and I like cool sounding things, so do u know where I could download sound effects? I don’t really know how to word this question so here’s an example of something I like. In the song savin’ me by nickleback there is a part where the wind is blowing and it sounds like a chime is playing. Lol
thanks!
I have iTunes and an iPod. I guess I’m looking more for names of songs.

Nagesh answers:

You mentioned sound effects so I did a search on my Utopia for music “Avaxhome.ws.” If you go there, on the left is a search box…type sound effects and wait for the results to show. There are some files you can download that have various sound effects from different sources including movie studios. Check ’em out if you want. They’re usually .rar files you will need to unpack with an unpacker like Winrar or 7-zip. Then you may have to convert them to whatever format works for you. As far as songs. There are quite a few songs or albums with sound effects in the music but it may not be from your generation. If your system kicks ass, and you really want to hear sound and effects, you need to include some New Age music. Nothing compares to hearing old world instruments. I listed one New Age album below that’s hard to find but it has one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard called “Heavensent.” A long song that will transport you to another time. I have the album and an MP3 version, but I can’t find a WAV or FLAC version. As for the other music I’d recommend, these are just some of my favs from generations past.

Gamma 3 by Gamma
Abraxas by Santana
Eye in the Sky by The Alan Parsons Project
The Source by Osamu Kitajima (New Age)
Ted Nugent by Ted Nugent
Van Halen (1) by Van Halen
Fragile by Yes
Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall by Pink Floyd

I may have gotten older, but this music is still fresh.
