How can I get direct tv to give me a new customer offer when I am a current customer?
I currently have direct tv and received an email and flyer in the mail for 5 months free of their Premier package that includes all the movie channels and NFL Sunday Ticket for 5 payments of $59.99/mo. When I call Direct TV they say its for new customers only and if i want Sunday Ticket I have to pay full price of $300. Can anyone give me pointers on how to get them to honor this offer to an existing customer?

Sorry, won’t happen.Even if you cancel and sign up as new customer.

Why do Direct TV shows air at different times than what is stated?
We just switched from Cox Cable to Direct TV – no choice, we moved. I am noticing that shows that should air at one time, actually air at total different times with Direct. For example, my daughter watches A Secret Life on ABC. It has always aired at 8 pm and that’s what it shows in it’s commercials and on it’s website, etc. But with Direct TV it airs at 6pm. Why????? It makes no sense that they just air whenever they feel like it.

How can Direct TV charge customers a disconnect fee when service is not available in new area?
I recently moved, cancelling Direct TV service because I was told by a DTV rep that svc was not available at my new address. Now they expect me to pay an early disconnect fee. My landlord does not allow Direct TV on his property due to previous damage done to his roof by them.
Nagesh answers:
If you attempted to change your service location and cancelled instead because of information that a rep gave you, you might have a case for disputing early disconnect fees. You need to talk to the rep’s manager since they have the authority to make exceptions to company policy and waive charges. If you are not successful the first time, try again. Eventually you will get someone who can see things your way. Point out that it was one of their installation agents that is at the root of the(ir) problem.
The other approach is to talk to your landlord. The satellites are over 20,000 miles away. Mounting a dish on the roof doesn’t bring them appreciably closer. My own dish is fastened to a pole just a few feet off the ground.

How do I split 1 direct tv reicever to other tvs?
Is there a way to split the signal from one direct tv reciever to other tvs? Does it just take a coax splitter or what does it take. I am having it installed later on today and want to know for my reference so I can better place the reciever. Is there any complications or drawbacks to splitting? Thank you for your time and help. And DON’T tell me to just pay for another reciever.
Nagesh answers:
With a coax with a splitter … Available at any electronics section … The only thing is that you will only get the same station on all tv’s at the same time
