Whenever Apple releases a “major” software upgrade, it needs to do a full installation which means wiping ALL data from the existing iPod! The iPod currently uses v.2.2.

You can’t fix it as you decide to keep v.1.x or upgrade to v.2.x, hence the new upgrade!

Most users keep the files in their iTunes but some do not.
Since you state you want to “fix it” but not deleting any existing files from your iTouch, it sounds like you no longer have those files in your iTunes.

Try this.. SharePod.
It’s basic but works as it copies from the iPod back to the computer.

Once you do that and verify that the files are back onto your computer, you can then transfer it back into iTunes.

Then you can go for that upgrade!

Sorry, you can’t edit effects in Windows Movie Maker. Try other movie making software. If I was not wrong, Wondershare Movie Story allows you to adjust video effects parameters in the editing videos dialog(double click video).

Yes you can, you sync it just like your nano.

As long as that iPod has a screen and has the Video Function then it is fine. If it does not have one then it cannot.
