Your Questions About Where Can I Download Old Movies

Paul asks…

What is the best software to download?

What is the best software to download, movies and software….. such as bitlord?

Nagesh answers:

BitLord is not a good choice for a bittorrent client. It is based upon an old buggy Bitcomet code and is banned at most all private trackers.

uTorrent is a much better choice. Small, easy on system resources and has good support:

Donald asks…

How do I record my tivoed shows and movies onto a DVD?

I have a standard tivo model. I‘m not sure exactly what it is. And I have movies and television shows that I would like to save. Is there a way I can burn them onto a DVD/RW?

Nagesh answers:

The first comment is COMPLETELY WRONG. Tivo and Modified DirecTV Tivo’s are really the easiest to transfer the shows/movies from them to a Networked PC so you can edit out commercials ans burn to DVD. Check out this link first.

What you will need is to get your Tivo networked. If it is a Series 2 Tivo or Series 2 Dual Tuner Tivo then you can either use a compatible USB Ethernet adapter or Tivo Wireless G Adapter. You connect these to your Tivo’s ACTIVATED USB ports, if you use a USB Ethernet Adapter like Linksys USB200m for a series 2 with USB 2.0 or use the USB100m for an older Tivo that has USB 1.1 ports. Now connect an Ethernet cable from the USB adapter to your homes Wired/wireless router. Use a program like LookatLan to find the IP address on your homes network. Now use Tytool 10r4 (Available here, Scroll down until you find version 10R4: http://www.weethet.nl/english/download.php ) This will allow you to put the IP address in and transfer the shows/movies to your networked PC, then it has a edit program to edit out the commercial, then you will change the Tivo’s file format from a .tivo to a .mpeg file. Once this is done you can use a DVD burning progra, to make it to a DVD.

What are some good horror movies to watch with a boy?

I‘m going up to my friend’s this weekend and he likes to download scary movies for us to watch. The last few we watched were terrible (IT, insidious, etc.). I need something that is actually scary. And will make me jump.

Nagesh answers:

I would say the scariest movies ever are:
1) The Shining (1980)
2) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
3) The Exorcist (1973)
4) Rosemary’s Baby (1968)
5) Night of the Living Dead (1968)
