Does the same happen with every movie or just the one?

If its just that one there may not be enough seeds and/or peers. Try a different torrent for the same movie.

If its all torrents downloading too slow first check your internet connection if that’s ok check to make sure the port is open properly. To run a port check is different with each client check the help tab. On utorrent you would click the icon on bottom right of window.

You could also try a different client or an older version of the one you have it may work better with your p.c.

There is no specific time for anything to download- it depends on several factors. What kind of router do you have? If you have an older one (wireless g or older) than that could be slowing you down. You should definitely have wireless n. I upgraded from wireless g to a netgear wndr3700 (the best router on the market today- costs about $150) wireless n- and my download speeds practically doubled! It went from 4 hours for a movie to about 2!

If you are downloading off wifi and are not plugged in to the internet- than you will also need a new wireless adapter to handle the faster speeds.

But 7 hours for a tv show? Thats crazy! The new router is a must if you don’t already have one- but you should also consider upgrading your computer and/or internet service.

It could be bad ram, if you have two stocks of ram, turn off the computer, take one stick out, and see if the problem persists, if it still does, swap ram sticks, and try it again… If it only does it with ram stick “a” and not “b” you found the problem… Also look at the capacitors on the motherboard, there are a lot of problems with some older machines-

also could be the video card drivers- my computer worked fine just like you said, unless i tried to play 2 of the games i owned, it would lock up or reboot… Sounds like you may be having the same issue, like the internet is fine because it does not use advanced features from your graphics card, but when you try to edit video or movies, the video card needs to do more, so it runs into a problem-

find out what kind of video card you have, go to the manufacturer’s website, (probably nvidia or ATI) and download the latest drivers. Make sure you select the proper operating system.
You can check which drivers you are currently running by going to start-settings-control panel-system-hardware-device manager, then click display adapter, then RIGHT CLICK the video card and click driver- (the driver version i have on the machine I am typing on now is 6.14.10.9424)

That is not a movie. It was staged for the show. Another great JAM moment at the end of that one after Pam finds out why her dad broke up with her mom. He saw how much Jim loves Pam and knew that he didn’t then or ever love his wife that way.
