Ruth asks…
What are some good portable game devices for kids 6 years or older?
My uncle’s trying to get a Nintendo 3DS for my cousin but he’s only 6 . First of all he’s not going to understand the value of it and not take care of it very well. What about this ?
It’s the Vtech InnoTab Learning Tablet with Case – Blue .
Vtech InnoTab Learning Tablet with Case – Blue
Nagesh answers:
You should get the 3DS, even a 4 year old fully understands a 3DS.
Because you can play music (even with the system close).
You can LOWER the VOLUME of 3D so it does NOT give you headaches for the first time in your life (if you’re the kind of person to ever get headaches from 3D, otherwise just turn the 3D all the way up).
And you can also turn the 3D OFF Completely.
And 3D is good for working out your eye muscles & brain to keep them in shape as shown in this link:
http://www.aoa.org/x17309.xml
And the Nintendo 3DS has downloadable 3D Music videos from today’s American music artist which I have already downloaded the 3 free 3D Music Videos to watch anywhere and the 3DS has 3D “Blue Man Group” video and College Humor (in 3D) with the FREE “Nintendo Video” App that you can download (but its 4 3D Videos at a time and they replace them once in a while) and you can download cheap downloadable 3D Apps & 3D games costing from 99 cents to $5.99 and the Nintendo 3DS also has FREE downloadable 3D Apps & 3D Games, which I have already downloaded 3 Free 3D Apps and I have downloaded 2 Free 3D Games and the 3DS has a 3D Camera and I have already used the 3DS 3D Camera to take 3D photos and I have uploaded some of my 3D footage online using the Nintendo 3DS’s Web Browser to upload my 3D footage online and I have used my 3DS Web Browser to also download other peoples 3D footage from the Internet on my 3DS Web Browser and I have view all sorts of 3D content on 3D Websites online on my 3DS’s Web Browser and I have use my 3DS 3D Camera to play 3D Augmented Reality games as well and it’s all in 3D without the Glasses using the 3DS 3D Camera and I have beautiful 3D HD graphics that equal to that of a 3D HD version of Wii Graphics and I have Streamed 3D Videos Online on my 3DS in the eShop and I have also Watch 3D Trailers for upcoming 3D movies coming to Theaters in 3D and I have done all of this in 3D Without the Glasses.
So you can pay $169 for a Nintendo 3DS and buy the greatest Games ever & all in 3D Without the Glasses like Cave Story 3D and Kid Icarus and Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 using the MOTION SENSORS to play the game like if you were turning a real wheel to turn the Kart left & right and also play such other 8 GB 3D Games like TheatRhytem Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3D and Crush 3D and Shinobi and Animal Crossing and Rodea the Sky Soldier and Michael Jackson: the Experience 3D and Ridge Racer 3D and Super Street Fighter 4 3D and Monster Hunter 4 and Golden Sun 4 and Star Fox 3D and Zelda 3D and Sonic Generations 3D and Tetris 3D and Resident Evil: Revelations and Tekken 3D which also has the 3D Movie Tekken the Movie 3D in it to watch and also play other 8 GB 3D HD games as Spider Man 3D and 100% of the 3DS games are in HD 3D Without the Glasses.
Also, the screen is perfectly fine, in terms of resolution. Anyway, it’s the pixel density that matters, not the actual number of pixels. The 3DS pixel density is MUCH sharper than an average HD TV of, for example, 32 inches. It’s perfectly fine. Not everything has to be 1080p you know. Since 1080p at 32 inches is worse than just 240p on the 3DS.
And they’re making Angry Birds 3D as a downloadable game.
And the 3DS has DLC (Downloadable Content) like Xbox Live for a bunch of 3DS games to add content to the game cartridge later on.
And 1 of the Free 3D Apps I have downloaded was Netflix.
And Netflix is getting 3D Movies in the next few months, so for $169 you can watch 3D movies on the free Netflix App on the 3DS in 3D Without the Glasses.
And 100% of the people who have said that they get headaches from 3D, have said that after up to 1 to 2 weeks of using the 3DS they NO LONGER get headaches anymore and that they now play with the 3D all the way up 100% all the time, non-stop.
But I have never had any problem with the 3D at all, but each person has a different experience with the 3D ON during the first week.
And you can now pay to download Permanent 3D & 2D Videos on the 3DS.
And the 3DS is getting Hulu Plus before the end of this year (2011) as a Free downloadable App and Hulu already has 3D Content.
And you can check this Link below for more 3DS Games:

P.S. You will want to check these sites out for the Web Browser’s 3D ability:

And the 3DS is getting a Wi-Fi Update this MONTH to RECORD 3D Videos and upload it to YouTube and all of this in the 3DS this Month by hooking your 3DS up to a Wireless Internet Connection like Wi-Fi or your own Home Internet or the Library and so fort during this Month as shown in this Link.

Are You A Big Fan of Your Local Library?
I LOVE going to my library. I adore the fact that I can get free literature, education, and even entertainment. I personally believe that the Public Library system could quite possibly be THE most important contribution to mankind. How do people here feel about their local library? Do you go often? How do you think the Public library system will fare 20, 30 years from now in a very technologically advanced society, especially with the advent of more and more literature being made available to download on the internet? Share your thoughts on this important institution!
That’s a good point, redunicorn. It is true that with the explosion of information, entertainment, and other services on the net, alot of people expect to find things they wouldn’t have dreamed of years ago, for free. I gotta admit, I’m guilty of that myself, however the library would be replaced with the net in my mind. As people here have posted, there’s nothing like holding a firmly bound book in your hands and turning the pages and feeling the binding. I don’t think sitting behind a glaring computer screen could ever totally replace that!
Sorry, I made a typo. I mean’t the library COULDN’T be replaced by the net. Typing too fast, lol.
suebone825, I do the same thing with authors! Along with reading miscellaneous books, I have a current fave author and I just HAVE to read all of his books. Right now, it’s Dean Koontz. I can’t get enough os his works, he’s a fabulous author. I also love mystery author Mary Daheim’s books.
Nagesh answers:
I love our library, I go once a week for a new supply of books and movies. All three of my children have cards and all of them go to the storytimes for their age group and my oldest boy uses the computers while the little ones are at their groups and I can wander down the aisles picking what I want to read this week. I have a list of books I want to read, and I go author by author. As soon as I have finished books by one I go to another. For days when I am in a hurry, I can go online the night before and put the books on hold that I want and pick them up the next day. If I want to read something and they don’t have it, I can put a request in for them to buy it and have not ever been turned down yet. I like owning my own books, but I have so many now I don’t know where I would put more. I’ve had to put bookcases to hold my own books into my kids rooms! My mother has gotten into the whole read it online and listen to it on CD, but I myself can’t get over holding the book myself. Some of my books are barely held together anymore they have been read so much. They have had the covers loved right off them! I worry about the library going out of style myself at times. We think the library is important and wonderful, but even more important is making sure our kids know how important and wonderful they are so that they will continue to stand for the next generation and the next. I loved storytime when I was a kid, my kids love it and I look forward to taking my grandchildren when I have some to storytime, to introducing them to the written word and how great it is and to be able to hold that greatness in their own small hands.

Valentines Day ideas for a 14 year old to get her boyfriend?
Ive been going out with this guy who I feel in love with for a month and a half now, and I want to do something special for him on Valentine’s Day. I saw on his phone the other day he was on a website looking up romantic things to do on Valentines Day. I want to do something back for him. Please keep in mind I do not have a very high budget. Thankyou.
Nagesh answers:
There are a whole heaps of nice presents you can give your boyfriend for Valentines Day that aren’t too expensive.
If you feel confident enough you could make him a scrapbook of all the things that remind you of him/stick in movie tickets from your first date and fill the book with photo’s of the two of you.
You could download for free a number of songs and put them onto a CD, which costs very little money from your local home wares/electronics store. Homemade gifts like this are often appreciated much more because of the effort and thought you put into them. Other great homemade gifts if your boyfriend is a bit trendy and adventurous are homemade mens jewelry. If you buy a strip of thin leather (from a craft store) cut it into three, plait and tie a knot at the end, you have a lovely handmade bracelet that is still masculine enough to wear. You could also buy wooden beads etc and get more creative.
That being said, I think a really nice present that’s not too over the top or anything would be a cool t-shirt. When I had my first boyfriend whenever Valentines Day was coming up or he had a birthday, I would find him a cool tee and know that every time he wore it he would be thinking of me. Also if we were together I could brag about how awesome he looked knowing that I was the one who had picked out his clothes 😛
My favourite online clothing store (I own 12 tees and always buy from here) is having a special $14 valentines day sale, for love related tees. They also have other tees and hoodies on the site ranging from $5 – $30 all made from 100% cotton.

best FREE video editing software that is easy to use?
For some reason windows movie maker keeps glitching out on me and I’m getting rather tired of it. Is there any similar free software I can use? I generally make music videos and such, nothing too involved or needing a lot of effects.
Most of the video files I have are mp4 if that makes a difference!
Nagesh answers:
Mp4 is more Quicktime Apple format, so you may be better to convert to avi / wmv to edit in Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker is good for basic video movie editing, with some transitions and clipping, if your program is not working well you could re-install in case files are corrupted, from cd or online,
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx
if it is not the program suggest cleanup of drive run scan-disk error check without options, analyze with defragmenter, and empty old cache a cookies,
