Your Questions About Download Old Movies Online

George asks…

What is a good video editing software?

I want a free video editing program that I can download online. I already have Windows Movie Maker that came with my computer, and it does the basics, but I want one where you can possibly use greenscreen? Just one that does more advanced things. I would prefer it to be free or cheap but if not, thats alright. Thank you!

Nagesh answers:

Helen asks…

what is the best way to home school my child?

i have a 5 year old that i want to teach at home how do i get staeted

Nagesh answers:

First off, you’ll need to take a look at the laws regulating homeschooling in your state. Your child might be to young for compulsary attendence right now (the age varies from state to state), but it would be a good idea to have a general outline of what you’ll need to do in the future to continue homeshooling.
State laws are WIDELY varied on the type of records you’ll need to keep (from none at all to portfolios and transcripts), whether or not standardized testing is required, etc.

A quick search of ‘your state homeschooling’ will yield a number of links to local groups who can help you get started, advise you about local issues, keep you abreast of local activities and events, etc.

Insofar as actual curricula and teaching methods, you’ll find opinions are hugely varied. The most important thing at this point (especially since your child is so young) is to spend time getting to know what type of ‘learner’ your child is. Does he/she pick up things visually? Does he/she need verbal instructions? What does he/she show an interest in? Initially it might be beneficial to borrow or download a wide variety of resources in order to identify his/her strengths and the areas you’ll have to put a little more effort into. This absolutely doesn’t mean he/she won’t be actively learning anything initially (I’m sure as a parent you know they’re ALWAYS picking up things) but it will help you pinpoint what teaching methods best benefit your child.

Some simple ideas to get started – talk about animals and nature while at the park, make some sight word flash cards, use fun manipulatives to teach numbers, find a couple interactive learning games online, turn the on closed captioned narration on his/her fave DVDs, use lots of coloring and artwork to improve his/her hand/eye coordination. Keep it simple and he/she will be picking it up before you know it.
Read, read, read! Read him/her everything! Point out the words and their sounds. Pay attention to how he/she reacts to it – this is a great way to figure out what subjects he/she is interested in learning about (most children can and will absorb information often considered ‘above grade lvl’ if they have a marked interest in the subject). Literally litter your house with books – visit the library frequently – get to know used bookstores (local and web) in and out – get novelizations of his/her favorite movies/TV shows – print out info from the web on things he/she is interested in for you to read together (and for him/her to have a ‘hard’ copy, they love to have ‘important’ papers of their own). Read some more!

All in all, only you will be able to say what the best method is for your child. Don’t be afraid to try something and leave it (or introduce it again later) if its not working or your child isn’t ready for it. Get to know your child, get active with a local support group, and have fun! Best of luck to you!

Joseph asks…

How do I get videos I recorded on a Lumix T75 on Windows Movie Maker?

I was able to do it with my old camera but not this new one I got. It’s a .mov video.

Nagesh answers:

Your old camera probably recorded movies in .avi format… Windows Movie Maker doesnt support .mov, which is Apple Quicktime format. You would think they play nice by now. But no. This is tough because WMM is easy to learn and use. You have a couple options:
1. Convert the .mov to .avi or .wmv- this is probably the easiest way to continue to use WMM. BUT you will be re-compressing an already compressed file. In other words, each time a video file is “compressed” it degrades the video quality some more. There are ways to make it less noticable like using a lossless video codec but you would need to download it to your computer. Im not a fan of 3 compressions (1. By your camera, 2. Conversion to avi, 3. WMM output)…then if the final video destination in online like youtube…then that 4 compressions…no wonder some videos on there look so bad.

2. Use different video editing software. Which means you have to learn how to use something new…which as not a bad thing as these usually have more features to utilize. There are plenty of these online for purchase. One of the least expensive is Video Edit Magic $70 free to try http://www.deskshare.com/vem.aspx or Ulead Movie Factory 6 $50 free to try http://www.ulead.com/dmf/runme.htm both accept .mov imports.

3. I looked around the net but couldnt find anything readily available for free unlimited use that accepts .mov files. I have a copy of Sony Vegas that I use for editing…so I never thought about free options for those who dont want to pay for it. I did finally find Avid FreeDV which was a free version of a very sophisticated video editing app that the pros use. But it was discontined back in Sept 2007. Further searching turned up an overseas website that still hosting the installer. You need to register (or if you know how to use torrents, no need) or sign up and then download it:
http://download.chip.eu/en/Avid-Free-DV-1.6.1_101934.html
you may want to check out the tutorials first as this application is not easy as WMM and there is a learning curve.
They are still up on Avid’s website:

phew that was a lot of work…good luck

Ruth asks…

What should I give my 16 year old cousin for Christmas?

He’s a very well behaved young man. He has a license and use of his parents’ car and is on the varsity ski team. But given the difference in our ages, I don’t know very much more about him. I want to give him something nice, but I don’t know what! Help?

Nagesh answers:

You Should get him a 3DS.

Because you can play music (even with the system close).

You can LOWER the VOLUME of 3D so it does NOT give you headaches for the first time in your life (if you’re the kind of person to ever get headaches from 3D, otherwise just turn the 3D all the way up).

And you can also turn the 3D OFF Completely.

And 3D is good for working out your eye muscles & brain to keep them in shape as shown in this link:

http://www.aoa.org/x17309.xml

And the Nintendo 3DS has downloadable 3D Music videos from today’s American music artist which I have already downloaded the 3 free 3D Music Videos to watch anywhere and the 3DS has 3D “Blue Man Group” video and College Humor (in 3D) with the FREE “Nintendo Video” App that you can download (but its 4 3D Videos at a time and they replace them once in a while) and you can download cheap downloadable 3D Apps & 3D games costing from 99 cents to $5.99 and the Nintendo 3DS also has FREE downloadable 3D Apps & 3D Games, which I have already downloaded 3 Free 3D Apps and I have downloaded 2 Free 3D Games and the 3DS has a 3D Camera and I have already used the 3DS 3D Camera to take 3D photos and I have uploaded some of my 3D footage online using the Nintendo 3DS’s Web Browser to upload my 3D footage online and I have used my 3DS Web Browser to also download other peoples 3D footage from the Internet on my 3DS Web Browser and I have view all sorts of 3D content on 3D Websites online on my 3DS’s Web Browser and I have use my 3DS 3D Camera to play 3D Augmented Reality games as well and it’s all in 3D without the Glasses using the 3DS 3D Camera and It has beautiful 3D HD graphics that equal to that of a 3D HD version of Wii Graphics and I have Streamed 3D Videos Online on my 3DS in the eShop and I have also Watch 3D Trailers for upcoming 3D movies coming to Theaters in 3D and I have done all of this in 3D Without the Glasses.

So you can pay $169 for a Nintendo 3DS and buy the greatest Games ever & all in 3D Without the Glasses like Cave Story 3D and Kid Icarus and Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 using the MOTION SENSORS to play the game like if you were turning a real wheel to turn the Kart left & right and also play such other 8 GB 3D Games like TheatRhytem Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3D and Crush 3D and Shinobi and Animal Crossing and Rodea the Sky Soldier and Michael Jackson: the Experience 3D and Ridge Racer 3D and Super Street Fighter 4 3D and Monster Hunter 4 and Golden Sun 4 and Star Fox 3D and Zelda 3D and Sonic Generations 3D and Tetris 3D and Resident Evil: Revelations and Tekken 3D which also has the 3D Movie Tekken the Movie 3D in it to watch and also play other 8 GB 3D HD games as Spider Man 3D and 100% of the 3DS games are in HD 3D Without the Glasses.

Also, the screen is perfectly fine, in terms of resolution. Anyway, it’s the pixel density that matters, not the actual number of pixels. The 3DS pixel density is MUCH sharper than an average HD TV of, for example, 32 inches. It’s perfectly fine. Not everything has to be 1080p you know. Since 1080p at 32 inches is worse than just 240p on the 3DS.

And they’re making Angry Birds 3D as a downloadable game.

And the 3DS has DLC (Downloadable Content) like Xbox Live for a bunch of 3DS games to add content to the game later on.

And 1 of the Free 3D Apps I have downloaded was Netflix.

And Netflix is getting 3D Movies in the next few months, so for $169 you can watch 3D movies on the free Netflix App on the 3DS in 3D Without the Glasses.

And 100% of the people who have said that they get headaches from 3D, have said that after up to 1 to 2 weeks of using the 3DS they NO LONGER get headaches anymore and that they now play with the 3D all the way up 100% all the time, non-stop.

But I have never had any problem with the 3D at all, but each person has a different experience with the 3D ON during the first week.

And you can now pay to download Permanent 3D & 2D Videos on the 3DS.

And the 3DS is getting Hulu Plus before the end of this year (2011) as a Free downloadable App and Hulu already has 3D Content.

And you can check this Link below for more 3DS Games:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_3DS_games

P.S. You will want to check these sites out for the Web Browser’s 3D ability:

http://3dporch.com/

http://3dspaint.com/

http://www.klutz.com/static/nintendo/n3ds_mm9.html

http://www.instructables.com/3ds/

And the 3DS is getting a Wi-Fi Update this MONTH to RECORD 3D Videos and upload it to YouTube and all of this in the 3DS this Month by hooking your 3DS up to a Wireless Internet Connection like Wi-Fi or your own Home Internet or the Library and so fort during this Month as shown in this Link.

Lisa asks…

How can I learn the Irish language?

Like Gaelic? As it is an old language, is there a way I can learn this easily?

Nagesh answers:

Dia Dhuit!
It is a difficult language with cases and the pronunciation varies according to areas. So an Irish speaker may not fully understand another Irish person’s. The grammar is quite complex too and the language can seem archaic but it does evolve thanks to new influence. This language is still spoken by a minority in Ireland. Irish (Gaeilge) is a Goidelic language of the Indo-European language family, originating in Ireland and historically spoken by the Irish people. Irish is now spoken as a first language only by a small minority of the Irish population, and as a second language by a larger minority. However, it is widely considered to be an important part of the island’s culture and heritage. It enjoys constitutional status as the national and first official language of the Republic of Ireland. It is also an official language of the European Union and an officially recognised minority language in Northern Ireland.

My daughter is bilingual thanks to a Gaelscoil (An Irish school) it took her 3 years to reach this level. I would advice you an initiation with Byki.com which provides a free download flash cards. And if you can afford it, get these CD roms:
―Eurotalk Interactive: Vocabulary builder: All ages. Foghlaim Gaeilge! Learn Irish
―Eurotalk Interactive: Learn Irish Foghlaim Gaeilge! Talk Now! Beginners (Essential words & phrases for absolute beginners).
―Eurotalk Interactive: Learn Irish Foghlaim Gaeilge! World Talk Intermediate. (Improve your listening abd speaking skills!). They also have an advanced level using an Irish movie. But I don’t know the title.
