Your Questions About Where Can I Download Old Movies

Carol asks…

Where can I watch, “Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children – The Movie” – Japanese & Eng Subs, NO DUBBED. ? :)?

HEY GUYS. 🙂
Advent Children, is an old movie, Yeah I know.
But it’s a good one. 😀

So I went on google/youtube, etc etc.
And all I find is stupid dubbed versions, gross.

So I was just wondering which sites to watch Advent Children , the original, with english fansubs? 🙂
(If there is SAFE, download forums/links to download this movie, please post em`) 😀

THANK YOU_(L)

Sandy asks…

Movies don’t play right, I think it’s the new DivX codec?

Recently (a few weeks ago) I installed the newest DivX codec, and now Winamp, Windows Media Player, and Media Player Classic all play movies really crappy. Every few seconds, the video will freeze for a second, then go really fast to catch up. It happens on every AVI encoded with DivX, so I‘m sure it’s the codec. The DivX Player usually plays them right, but it won’t go fullscreen properly. VLC will play them right, but the quality is very poor. Anybody else have a similar problem with the newest DivX codec? Do you know where I can download an older version of the codec, or perhaps a media player that doesn’t rely on it or can fix these problems?

Also, I downloaded Vista SP1 about the same time, could it be that that’s causing the problems?

Nagesh answers:

Easy…..had the same problem as you

simply use GOMPLAYER as it has all of the codecs built in
also a lot more features than windows media player.

Just go to

Ruth asks…

Can you shorten clips for Windows Live Movie Maker to less than a second?

I‘m used to using the old Windows Movie Maker, where all you had to do was cut the time of a clip or picture in half to make it shorter, and you could do that a few times to make it into a fraction of a second. Can you do that with the Windows Live version? So far it’s looking like I can only make my clips as short as one second, and I need them to be shorter so they blend together better. If you know of a way to solve this please let me know, otherwise I‘m going to download an older version of Movie Maker.

Nagesh answers:

Click in the Duration box and type in the time you need. If you need half a second, then type in 0.50. (I abuse poor WLMM all the time by ignoring the choices it presents and typing in what I what:-) If you need a series of clips to all be the same duration, click on the first one, hold down the Shift key and click on the last one …and those two along with everything in between them will highlight. If you need random clips/images to be the same duration, use the good old CTRL+click to select them.

If you used an older version of Movie Maker and now have a Windows 7 machine, you can get XP and Vista versions that will run on your new computer. I’m partial to Vista’s MM and have it along with WLMM installed on this W7 machine.

An XP version, 2.6, that uses all the good old XP WMM add-ons and extras:

The Vista version, 6.0, compiled with a W7 installer. Exactly the same WMM found on Vista computers. (This is the download I saved away “just in case” my Vista machine went belly up …and it did.)
