i have to start to make a legal movie download website .using digital download .the user can buy song or movie and automaticaly email temporary download link .so i want to know any illegal for this purchasing not illegal right .more movies and musics i uploaded .future any legall problems .there are more this like website already so can i start to publish.i think some high risk country to block .so no illegal violations

Is it legal to download a copy of something I already own?
I’m in the U.S. Let’s say I own a DVD of a movie, and I want to download an exact DVD quality copy of that movie (because, for example, my copy is scratched and my DVD player is finicky). Is it legal?

Serious. Please provide sources. I find a lot of people seeming sure of their answers, but a lot of answers contradicting. So what is it?

Uploading is what gets you in trouble – if you use p2p or torrents to download the movie, you /will/ be uploading as well as downloading. A direct download could be interpreted as just another way of creating a backup. DVDs are DIGITAL MEDIA. An image/ISO is also Digital Media. Creating backups are legal.
No source available, just life experience – I was sent a warning email by my ISP for replacing a game disk that had been scratched all to heck. Since I wanted to reinstall the game I purchased, I downloaded another copy of the busted disc using torrents… Which I thought would be fine. When I called them about it, they told me that it was the upload traffic that the company (Bethseda) was concerned about… Not the download. Big business doesn’t like you to share.

Torrent.com become an ilegal site in some countries and it consider an offense to download movies (law of copy right and related rights, Geneva convention)!! i need to know some sites which i can watch movies.

I am not sure how accurate this is, but http://www.GRAB0ID.com claims to be completely legal. They are a paid service, but they give you a free month. I’ve been paying $15/ month for their middle plan for about two years now. It’s pretty awesome.

There are a very few movies where the copyright has lapsed available at www.archive.org. Don’t expect much in the way of choice or quality.
