Direct TV Customer Service?

Is anyone else having problems with getting the $100 gift card they promise to give you when you sign up with their promotion? I was promised it within 90 days and still have not received it. So I call them today and get the run around for about an hour and then they finally tell me that they have not submitted the info yet and I should be receiving it now within 10-14 business days… WTF?! and they have horrible horrible horrible!! customer service.. I think her name is Octavia? shes a B.. and so is Tanya.. if you get those agents ever request a different one, I work in a call center and I have never heard such horrible customer service like theirs.. they suck, i asked for compensation for the delay and shes like “you do not get any compensation!” I told her supervisor she wasnt that nice.. hes all “well I listened to the call and she did everything right!” Um wow.. try to at least reassure me that he will talk to her about it or something.. I told her well if I dont get compensation how about I cancel direct tv completely?! shes like I will get you to the disconnecting department.. UHMMM hello do you not want to keep me as a customer?! I think not.. I’m waiting for this gift card and I think I am going to cancel my services with them they suck.. let me know if you had similar experiences

I understand you may have a little frustration for DIRECTV, but really ? Compensation for the delay ? Gimme a break !!! People like you, who are unsympathetic to the human condition and feel your entitled to be “compensated” for doing nothing make me sick. The delay is probably your fault anyway, most likely you responded late to the e-mail they sent you…i wish you would of canceled. Please please cancel moron, then use your gift card to help pay your cancellation fees. Besides being a jerk your a liar as well..”I told her supervisor she wasn’t that nice”,”get you to the disconnecting department”,,….these are lies, there are no supervisors on the floor and there is no disconnecting department, there is “customer retention and escalation” so next time ask a question and go whine somewhere else

My husband is a Directv Tech and he always has problems with their customer service. I hear him ranting how stupid there customer service people are.

I have picture, but no sound with Direct TV. Customer Service was not helpful.?

Went out of town on Friday. Came back Sunday to a TV with picture, but no sound. Called Customer Service, they feel that someone has been messing with “it” but couldnt be as no one has been home. I wish I knew what the “it” is so I could fix it. I have three other tv‘s in the house all working well. I do not have Tivo or anything else hooked up. I did play a DVD to make sure it wasnt the TV. The DVD played just fine with picture and sound.

Switch to DishNetwork. Their customer service is pretty good plus they have more HD channel choices.
I have a number of friends who have DirectTV that have had the exact same problem, so go figure.
