What are the chances of getting caught by using pirate bay?
I’m a 15 year old, teenage girl, who only uses Pirate Bay to download 5 or six songs spread across a few weeks. Sometimes I download one US television to watch. But that’s it. No game downloading or software. Sometimes movies 1 or 2 in a month. What are my chances or the chances of getting caught?
Nagesh answers:
Your chances or pretty slim but that is rapidly changing. Right now, copyright holders are going to torrent trackers like pirate bay and pretending to be average users. They download the torrent file and log which IP addresses they encounter. (bittorrent is an open system: when you download a torrent, you can see which IP address you connect to)
These copyright holders then notify the ISP of the tracked IP addresses. Your ISP will send you a warning letter and shutoff your service. Sometimes the copyright holders skip the warning altogether and sue you directly.
The chances are pretty slim right now and there are steps you can take to avoid getting caught. But torrenting from public trackers like pirate bay is like having sex with a bunch of people without a condom. Sure, you might not get an STD within a year, but if you keep doing it, you will contract an STD sooner or later.
If you need watch TV online, find online streaming sites; its not illegal to watch them. Just search “name of TV show or movie” and “watch online free”. If you want to listen to music, go on youtube and download it from there.

How to transfer large amount of files to another computer?
I am getting a new computer but my old one has about 5,000 songs and hundreds of pictures, several movies, and data for games i play not to mention hundreds of papers and assignments for school… I thought about getting a KVM switch to use one monitor for both computers and keep the old one to download and store music, but that wouldn’t completely work for various reasons… So what is the best way to get all my info from one computer to another?
Nagesh answers:
Get an External hard drive copy files onto it then plug into you new computer (probable via USB connection) which should detect the new drive and allow you to access the files this way you have two copies, Burning files to DVD would take longer and depending on how many files could take several DVD’S . Another advantage of an External Hard drive is you can plug it into any computer with the USB connection. Trademe might have a cheap one on offer or EBAY.

The very last song on Kickin’ It Old Skool?
I am not referring to Rock It by Herbie Hancock during the last competition. I am talking about after that is finished—–when “Justin” kisses “Jen” and the picture morphs into their younger selves from 1986 and all of the information about their lifes come up.
That song.
There must be no soundtrack out, since I have not found one yet. I have downloaded some songs from the movie, but not all. I guess I am just an 80’s child.
I found one interesting link with fun facts (at the bottom) about the film.
Thanks
Ah, I found the exact same question on Yahoo Answers a few days ago, (only in a different form.) I also got my answer and downloaded the song.
Oh, the song is called “Space Age Love Song” by A Flock of Seagulls.

If I bought movies/music from iTunes, but deleted that iTunes, can I get the purchased things back?
I recently deleted all my music off of an old laptop [one that was used specifically for my music], because I sold the laptop. My iPod has a lot of songs from iTunes and a couple movies as well. I still have the e-mail I used to sign up for iTunes, but I don’t remember me ID number [or whatever it is called]. If I download iTunes on my new computer, and enter the e-mail address I used, will the songs / movies still be there? Or will I have to purchase them again? THANK YOU.
Nagesh answers:
My understanding is when I bought a new laptop from APPLE they transfer my Itunes from their data base. It can only be done one time. For those who lost, or sold their laptop with itunes in it. All purchase songs, ONLY. Can be restore to your new laptop or desktop…Must bring the computer to your nearest Apple store. Or just give them a call.
