Are movies downloaded from Torrents legal? If not, why is it that easy to download?

Are they copyrighted movies? Does everyone else have to pay for them instead of snagging a free copy off the internet? Then of COURSE they’re illegal. And the fact that they’re easy to get doesn’t change anything. It’s easy to drive 110mph through a school zone, but that doesn’t make it legal either now does it?

For legal downloads in America you have to pay unless it is something without a copywrite. Anything like limewire is usually only used for pirated stuff, not much that I know of is actually free.
I am not sure if any legal movie download sites are up and running yet, tho I know they are at least in the works.
