direct TV problems?

I had reset my directTv receiver but suddenly the screen went blank, as if its not receiving connections. i’ve tried unplugging the receiver and waited for 15 seconds and i’ve tried resetting the receiver for like 100 times. what should i do?
its not with the satellite, i tried resetting it, then it said something like “wait” blah blah blah then it showed the snowy effect when youre not getting connections

now i solved the snowy thing. i tuned in to channel 4. now all im seeing is black screen and the logo of direct tv. what should i do

Try removing the card from the receiver and then re-insert it, it will take a couple of minutes but you should start to see a message that it is loading, if this fails call customer service

does anyone use Direct tv?

do not pay by using your credit card or debt card. i discontinued my service with them. once upon a time i paid my bill with my card & now they have sent my bank acct into over draft, by using my card unathourized & they have not even sent a closing bill & the bill is in my husbands name! the bank acct is in my name – i did not authorize it!

I have had Directv for almost 4-years now and have had nothing but good luck with them, their customer service department is great.

The difference may be I always pay by check.

what is a better deal for cable TV?

Direct TV or Dish Network? As far as service goes also.

Dish Network is slightly better in my experience than Direct TV. It’s usually cheaper, it has great customer service, and they are usually pretty accommodating with service calls and equipment upgrades. And for me, their service has just been better. Not nearly as many reception problems, even during storms. So I suggest going with Dish Network. I found some reviews on them to help you out.

We are looking at Dish TV…?

We have COMCAST CABLE now for both our tv and our computer needs. We are looking to get the most for our money, including a NFL sports package(OH GOD!). We pay a crap load of money for computer and digital cable(for ONE TV) and basic cable on all others. He thinks that if we go with a dish, we could save money.
What Up??? Cuz I have NO IDEA!!!!

Direct TV has much better customer service then Dish.

Direct has better programming too…cheaper and more channels..

Direct TV they also have the TIVO(pause, rewind live tv and record) and HD programming.. Awesome for Football time.

We’ve had both..and you do save a LOT of money compared to digital cable.

And for internet id just go back to DSL its cheaper and better then cable.

im going to order the movie freedom writers for 8 but the channel says “call customer service to order” once i order it will it start playing at 8???
