Which is the cheapest and best DTH Service Provider in India?
I want to move away from Airtel DTH and want to get myself something as good and cheaper than Airtel DTH, the customer service should also be good. What are my options?

I would suggest u to go with airtel dth coz it has best quality nd service. Just checkout the new plans (like the 145 pm plan) they r quite attractive nd affordable. Also there are so many addon packs to choose from.
Your other option is Dish Tv. It has equally cheap nd best plans as airtel. Just decide between these two according to ur requirement of channels.
Tata Sky is also excellent. Go for it if u can afford it since it is somewhat costly.
Dont buy sun direct- Bad services, bad schedule guide, worst customer care in the world, worst plans among all dth players, high priced addons as compared with the rest. In short nothing is gud abt sun direct. We hav unfortunately installed sun direct and r now shifting towards airtel as we r really dissapointed with sun

Total control 4 universal TV remote. Trying to make menu and guide button work as they don’t when pressed?
I need to change the the contrast on the TV as there is no direct contrast button . Want to access picture to adjust it via menu key.
I have tried setting up the Tv and DVD again and code is right as it does on/off/changing channels/volume but nothing on pressing these 2 keys what do I do now?

This is the problem with universal remote controls. They are handy for the basic functions of operation, however anything more complicated you will always struggle. I have had 3, and have always had to revert back to the original remotes.

Why is channel 1013 showing up on direct tv box R15-300?
When I turn my tv on in the morning, I will find the channel to be 1013 which is not even a legitimate Direct tv channel. This morning it was there when I pressed the “previous” button on my remote. There is no channel 1013 listed in the guide and if I try to go to the channel I am told it is not available. I have a DVR model R15-300.

Your receiver had its firmware updated overnight (automatically) and for whatever reason that is the channel that the receiver tuned to after the upgrade

How to set Direct TV favorites? Is it Even possible?
Ok, so to start off;
I have Direct TV and I went to a friends house and they had a section for their favorites…
How did they set it?
I have a TV in my room and I basically sit around trying to do that. Is it even possible? Maybe, I just thought it was their favorites because it had a minimal amount of channels.
Basically; I just want to know, is it possible and how to do it.

To set favorites on your Direct TV, and if you have the same remote controller as I do (it’s grey on top, black on bottom and has an orange select button) press the tiny yellow button under the menu button near the center of your controller. A list will pop up displaying two options. Go to “change favorites list”. Go to “setup custom 1”. Then it will display all the channels you have. Check the corresponding boxes and create of list of your favorite channels. Afterward, hit accept or done or whatever, go to the guide and voilà! Your guide is your favorites list. If it doesn’t show up after your selected your favorites, hit the yellow button and change favorites list and select Custom 1.
