How can I install the latest DirectX on a computer with a troubled os?
I bought a used computer in a swapmeet. It was loaded with a version of Microsoft xp. When tried to play some games, they ask for a newer DirectX, and when tried to download it from Microsoft, the os wasn’t recognize as a legal copy. Is there a way around it?
Nagesh answers:
I hope u have got the a Driver CD and you can load the DirectX from there. If not or it doesn’t help then get a good game CD like Grand Theft Auto Vice City or FIFA 2004 and there you will find the almost recent DirectX version

How can you change the directx level in Battlefield 3?
In Bad Company 2, I changed the directx level from auto (which was 10) to 9 and I got a huge boost of fps. I was able to play in the highest resolution with all settings at high and I got good FPS. Before I change it, for good FPS, I had to play on the lowest resolution and all at medium. Is there such thing in Battlefield 3 as well?
Nagesh answers:
Download bf3 settings editor and change it from 11 to 10
