Betty asks…
what is the difference between original windows and duplicate windows other than automatic updates feature?
Nagesh answers:
Microsoft’s operating system are to be installed on one computer, and require a serial number for activation.
A pirate version of windows, could have anything inside, only the person that doctored the operating system code to remove the the activation requirement knows for certain… Since Microsoft does not let non activated operating systems get all the patches or fixes, you might try the free: Secunia.com’s Online Software Inspector (OSI).
If you have hardware and you need it to be productive, download and burn a few Live Linux CD to find one you like, then install that operating system.
With the exception of Games there is not much difference in operating systems or the software available in the different operating systems… Yes the software may have different names or a older style interface but a music player, or DVD player will still play music or a rental movie in any operating system.

Every year there are more cross platform software releases for Linux, Mac, and Microsoft operating systems. With the movement toward cloud computing it may not mater what operating system you are using in another 5 years…

What sites can I go to and watch full-length movies for free?
There is this movie I have heard of and it’s ten years old. You can’t rent it at a movie place, all you can do is buy it. Is there a website I can go to that might have this movie on there and I can watch it on my computer instead of having to buy it?

Carol asks…
should i get the xbox 360 arcade?
I do not have an HDTV. I want to play games and play online with friends.
Nagesh answers:
DONT get the arcade, its not enough. You’ll undoubtedly eventually have to get a hard drive, and you’ll end up paying a lot more than you would if you got it. It MAY be enough for some game saves, but DEFINITELY not enough for downloading ANY map packs or anything else. You should get the pro version (60gig) or at least the premium (20gig)
on top of that, the new xbox experience dashboard takes up more than 256mb.
Seriously, if you get the arcade you WILL regret it. Save up a bit more, youll thank yourself later. I say get the pro.
Yes the arcade SOUNDS cheap, but xbox is full of hidden costs. Consider the price of the hard drive that you inevitably purchase. Its just a standard 2.5″ hard drive, but its in a special case that only works with the 360. For the price of the 120 gig drive, you could buy a 500 gig hard drive of the same type. Even the small (20gig) one is comparable to the price of a 320 gig hard drive. I suppose you had planned on having to buy new batteries every week or two, right? No? Oh well then expect to spend another $35 on the rechargable battery and charging cable. Oh and i hope that your xbox is right near your router, or you may have to spend a next hundred dollars on a wifi adapter. For all that money you couldve bought the superior ps3 (read my answer here for reasons why http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Age6ttjF1jOQGu7tk0DC._Dsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081123211250AAaYwOX
if you STILL insist on getting an xbox, though (tsk, tsk) the 20 gig premium model shouldnt be much more expensive than the arcade. Although ive heard about microsoft giving 360 arcade owners good deals on hard drives, still consider your other options. Theres:
arcade (about $200) this one doesnt come with a hard drive at all
premium(about $200-250) the old mid-level version, comes with a 20 gig hard drive
both of those models are being phased out, which would explain the price drop the new levels are:
pro ($250-300) this comes with a 60 gig drive, as well, its the newest model they’ve released so it would probably be the least prone to hardware failure, which the 360 is notorious for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_te…
Then theres the elite ($300-350) which comes with a 120 gig hard drive and is black, instead of white, which all the other models are. To be honest, this is a rip off. The hard drive is way to big, considering microsoft wont let you freely store any mp3’s or movies on the hard drive. The only way to save music onto the hard drive is to rip a cd the old fashioned way.
