Ruth asks…
can an external Hard Drive work on Mac and PC?
I have an external hard drive for movies that I have downloaded from my old PC but have found out that I can not put new movies from my Mac onto it. Is there a way to get my hard drive to read and use on both Mac and PC?
Please help!
Nagesh answers:
Use Disk Utility to reformat the drive as FAT32 instead of NTFS or HFS+.
Disk Utility comes with Mac OS X. It is not a separate download.
Be sure to back up files before you reformat. The reformat will delete any existing data on the external drive.

How do you download videos onto your computer?
I recently got a new camcorder (same memory card in use from the old one) and now i cannot use the videos i have made with the new camcorder on Windows Movie Maker. Please help me, I‘m ready to get back to having fun and making videos again!
Nagesh answers:
It depends on what format your new camera records the video in. Most camera’s if they have a non standard format, they will include a Driver installation disc that will allow you to install the driver and Windows Movie Maker will then recognise the files.
Hope this helps. If you provide more details, I might be able to point you in the right direction.
Good Luck and happy video editing 🙂

i am having trouble!
Nagesh answers:
I use a card reader to transfer photos and video to my hard drive, then I open my editing program and import the photo/video into it.
If the output file format isn’t compatible, you can download free converters that MAKE it compatible.
Here is a good article to learn a few basics about the process: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Movie_Maker

Is there any way I can get the older Windows Movie Maker?
The new one is horrible. There’s no timeline and that right there is a problem. I loved the old one. Any way I can get it back? I have the new version on my computer now.
Nagesh answers:
There might be some outdated torrent or download you can find over the internet (sorry I didn’t do any of the searching for you). But, you can definitely re-download the program of your choosing, despite it being outdated.

How many of you people like to watch?
Old movies? Like Singing the rain, Seconds (i‘m going to watch this movie tonight i have download it) The Lady Eve and many more… there are lots of good old movies.More people here who are fan of old movies?
@Nickynoname: I find it interessting even if it is black or white..most of the old movies have good stories. But everyone have their own like and dislike.
Nagesh answers:
Big fan of old movies. Some translate well, and some are fairly set in their own period, but that does not detract from their viewing pleasure. I have always liked history also, so some older movies do help to understand those times. People who discount a movie because of just its age (or it just being in black and white) are really missing some great movies. Their choice, their loss.
For example, while I like the 1983 version of Scarface even better than the original in 1932, the old one is still very good. Liking a remake more than the original does not happen much to me, the oldies are typiclly better.
