Will someone please help me with my Dell Latitude laptop?

I have a dell latitude d600. I recently updated my drivers from dell.com I called the computer store that I bought my laptop from to make sure everything inside was dell and they said everything was. I entered my info at dell.com and it gave me a list of updated drivers to download. I downloaded them and now I have a few problems that I do not know anything about. I do not want to go to the store I bought it from because not only did they rip me off, but they also suck really really bad. So will someone please help me?

Now here is the list of problems that I have found(so far):

Under device manager the following say that no drivers have been installed:

Direct Memory Access
Numeric Data Processor

At first I had a problem with the Generic CardBus Controller, but I rolled back the driver and now the error message has disappeared. Does this mean I can delete the file(s) for the updated driver from dell since I rolled it back? How do I know which one it is?
The only other problem I have is the fact that my computer kind of runs like a damn turtle. I use AVG free edition, Spyware Doctor and Comodo Firewall. My Windows XP firewall is also still on. Spyware Dr finds many things that AVG does not, but I do not use the anti-virus portion of Spyware Dr. I snagged a free version of Spyware Dr, but it did not include the anti-virus portion so I use AVG for that. I really do not think I have much on my computer. It isn’t a super computer or anything. Just your basic browse the web and download movies/music kinda thing. I know movies can take up a lot of space, but could they really slow my computer down so much? I scan with Spyware Dr and AVG everyday. I scan with Spyware Dr pretty much every time I use the web. It always comes up with cookie infections which all say low level threat. I press fix and it says my computer is now clean. Does that mean that I am completely infection free? Or does anything still linger around?
I have a lot of free space so I’m not sure why my computer is so slow. Someone please help me.

Free DVD RIPPER & CONVERTER?!?

ok, so i’ve posted a million questions simular to this one, but i keep getting the same answer. I’m looking for a FREE DVD ripper. All suggestions I’ve received are either free trials or the program only allows me to do 10min of the movie, makes a watermark on the movie or doesn’t support copy written DVDs. I downloaded SmartRipper version 2.41 but it only works when it wants to. Can someone please direct me to a free and effective DVD ripper that DOES NOT have the listed cons above?? Simular to SmartRipper?? Please and thank you! 🙂

Passions Online Episodes Free?

Does anyone know where I can passions episodes online? I want them streaming, not to download them.

NBC no longer does them as Passions is moving to Direct TV…I’ve looked on a few streaming video sites I know. Never any luck finding new ones on youtube.

Movies.Nabolister no luck either…

Any ideas?!
