can I download movies/TV shows from Direct TV?
Is there a way I can download movies/ TV shows from Direct TV and watch them later on my laptop later when offline?
@ABDN I pay $173.00 a month for premium channels. I can watch any movie I want on my laptop, but I don’t like being restricted to a certain area in order to watch a movie. All I wanted to know was is there a way I can download a movie and watch it offline later. I do have a iPhone, but hate watching movies on it. You didn’t need to be so rude and if you had a brain you would know there is no way I could download anything from direct tv if I wasn’t paying for the service. Before you talk you should educate yourself on cable/dish services.

Nope. There are way too many legal issues involved with this. I believe Tivo is the only DVR or service that offers something like this, and you still have to pay extra for the software to transfer the files to your computer. Unfortunately Tivos don’t work with satellite anymore.
