Is it illegal to download movies off of www.TMDMovies.com?
And so today I discovered a site called TMDMOVIEZ.COM which offers movies for download. I went on their IRC channel and there seems to be a lot of people on. And there also seems to be lots of people on their site judging by their counter, but are the movies really legal to download?
I don’t want to be caught and sued or anything like that. Will I get caught? I’m really disturbed by this, but I really want to see this old movie which I can’t seem to find anywhere else… Should I just forget about it and look for a place that sells the dvd or something?

YES! You may get caught, but those who are providing the download are more likely to than you are. Always better to be safe than sorry. For legitimate movie downloads, try iTunes or whatever paid service you prefer.

Why is uploading music legal while uploading movies is not?
I mean if a song gets uploaded on youtube, I can easily download it from youtube by using any website that allows you to download mp3 from youtube (like the saveyoutube website). So if anyone can listen and download music this way, why not make online streaming + download legal ?

Why do you think Limewire was shutdown by federal court order?
Who knows what will happen if and when SOPA (look it up) is enforced.

But be aware that even though using those sites is legal, downloading movies is illegal.

Downloading movies is illegal unless you pay for it. As far as i know, there is no legal movie downloading site yet. I know blockbuster and netflix are working on that though.
