George asks…

Legal download of movies and copying onto dvd?

Are there any websites where after downloading a movie i’ve payed for i can legally copy it onto a dvd so i can watch it on my dvd player? I don’t like to watch movies on the computer so that’s why i want to be able to copy it.

Nagesh answers:

It depends what format the movie is and the size. You should be able to burn it to a standard dvd using dvd copying software. Try using Magic DVD Ripper, you can download a free trial from the link below. I find that it is the best software to use. Movies come out perfect every time.

Unlike the other guy who answered this question, the site I use to get free giftcards doesn’t require boring, long hours of filling out surveys.

Just use the site to replace your search engine (google, ask, yahoo, etc.)

Susan asks…

Is this site a legal site to download movies?

http://www.themoviedownloads.com/
You have to pay for a membership. I just want to verify before I sign up 🙂

Nagesh answers:

No.. Its using files from other users (P2P), so what your paying for is what other programs do for free such as ARESGALAXY, limewire etc… Paying for it, your wasting your money, cause either way its illegal.. Read their FAQ…. I know people do it, but its at your own risk.
Cheers

William asks…

is it legal to download torrents movies through AT&T UNIVERSE.?

I’m Living in Nixa Missouri U.S and I wondering if I can download load torrent movies to watch them in my Home…

Nagesh answers:

It is illegal period. It doesn’t matter what software you use. It doesn’t matter what ISP you use. It doesn’t matter what you do once you’ve downloaded the movie. The act itself is a crime, punishable by a fine between $750.00 and $250,000.00 per movie and up to five years in prison per movie. The personal use issue only comes into play during the penalty phase of your trial. If you download for personal use, you’re more likely (but not guaranteed) to get a lower fine, like $20,000.00 per movie. Someone who is trying to make a profit is more likely to get the maximum fine or the prison sentence. However, you could still find yourself facing the maximum fine or prison if the judge wants to make an example out of you.
