Is using bittorrents for downloading movies legal or illegal?
I am asking because when we buy a latest movie from store we have to pay for it, but with bit torrent its not the case, we download it for free………..so is it legal?

The US gov would like it to be illegal, but the servers arent on us soil so they can’t prosecute them, and customers on the other hand never get charged for accepting free content cuz they can claim entrapment

I mean I do not want to provide my details to some phony site, and start downloading movies, only to realize that I am breaking the law, and get busted for being stupid. I need something 100% legal with secure money transfer, and good quality movies, with good choice.

Frostwire is the same as using Limewire. It is illegal to download films even for the purposes of your own personal entertainment.
Use iTunes. Hopefully they will add more titles. But, for now it’s slow growing . Also, check out netflix. I think they are starting to download movies too.

Is it legal to download old movies?
Im not completely sure of copyright laws, i live in America if it helps, but if you download a movie from 1980 like E.T. or The Wizard is it illegal? Or 1995 like Toy Story 1, other than the fact they re-released it renewing the copyright. or a movie from 1951 like the original Alice in Wonderland?

It’s not illegal to download movies. It’s illegal to share and upload movies to others. Make sure how ever you’re downloading them, that you’re not seeding for other users and you’ll be fine. America’s copyright laws are BS sometimes but there’s your loophole…
