I’m a little comfused what is DirectX is it a graphics card or something because i have no idea and also i have a nvidia geforce 6150SE graphics card what directX is it most similiar too 10 points for a great answer

DirectX and RCT3… Please help! ?
“Your graphics hardware or drivers do not meet the minimum requirements to run RCT3.” This message has been popping up whenever I try to open RCT3… The computer is a Windows XP. It’s not old. I downloaded the newest version of the dxdiag DirectX and that has not helped. The RCT3 is a free download from the Atari website. What is the problem and how to I fix it?

just click on the requirements tab.
It will not run on Vista and you have to have rct3 already installed..

The two above don’t know anything about DirectX, DirectX is Microsoft’s product not Macromedia’s, and whenever a programming language (like C++) is related, DirectX has no relationship with browser (perhaps they mean ActiveX, which is related heavily to both browser and programming).
Well, I don’t know in C++, but I know a bit in VB. (if possible avoid using DirectX directly (perhaps by using MS’s GDI++), DirectX’s code is confusing enough to occupy half the code for simpler programs)

Is it true that DirectX 12 will not be Compatible with Graphic Cards which are being sold now?
And is there anything else u need to use DirectX 12 which isnt out yet?

DirectX 11 isn’t out yet, so talking about DirectX 12 is really premature. At this point it may or may not be compatible with what is currently out, and there is no way of knowing what you will need to run it.

My computer has been more slow lately but I have noticed that every time I start my computer, this directx 6 application is tagging on but once I begin browsing, it goes away…Is this spyware? I did not download this. I have looked for it in my control panel but I can’t find it to delete it. I also have something called mywebsearch and something else that I cannot get rid of.

DirectX is a 3d API made by Microsoft, and it lets programs access many of a graphics card’s hardware acceleration features. DirectX 6 is an older version, but it should not actually be running as a program, so that is probably a virus of some sort.
