DirectX 11 to 10 Question?
I use win 7 and my DX is version 11, but my VGA card only support until DirectX 10.1. So is there OK to stay with DX 11 or i must downgrade to directX 10 to get the maximum performance?? if i must please insert the link to download DX 10
Thanks
Nagesh answers:
Having a DirectX version higher than your card supports has no bearing on performance. DirectX is designed to be backwards-compatible; all features that worked with one version will work in a subsequent one. Your cards just won’t support any new features that subsequent versions of DirectX provide.
For example, if I have a DirectX 7 card, I can still play games that support DirectX 7 with DirectX 9 installed. I just might not be able to play games that require DirectX 9 hardware.

Difference between directx 10 and directx 11?
Just bought a directx 11 card and I don’t get what the difference is?
Nagesh answers:
DirectX is a collection of a bunch of software tools used by people who make stuff for Windows computers–games, sound, video, and so forth. DirectX 10 is an older version. DirectX 11 was released with Windows 7, and has all sorts of shiny new features on it:
GPGPU (which lets your graphics card do stuff the processor normally would)
tessellation (a fancy word for tiling, which is useful for graphics)
improved multi-threading (which has to do with computers that have multi-core processors)
So, basically, your card is designed to support the new version of DirectX 11, which means that your graphics will be shinier if your games support them. Congratulations!

Are you sure your machine has the guts to play the game? More common is the Video Graphics that won’t let the game run.
And, is the game properly registered with STEAM?

My computer has directx 9.0c?
I have a game that i want to play on my pc its called HEROES of the PACIFIC but the game needs directx 9.0c and the thing is i have directx.0c installed but when i try to play it it says “your video card does not meet the minimum requirments for the game. Heroes of the Pacific requires a directx 8 level video card with pixel shader and vertex shader support.”
Could someone tell me what to do please.
i reali wanna play da game it looks cool so please help me.
Nagesh answers:
Directx is a software to enhance gaming graphics. The error you get is for your video card itself, the game needs a minimum video spec. If the game requires 16Mb of video and your card is only 8Mb, you still cant play the game even if your PCs directx is higher than the directx of the game.
