Your Questions About Direct Tv Customer Service

Daniel asks…

What channel is Funimation on Direct Tv?

yeah.

Nagesh answers:

Direct TV does not have the FUNimation Channel (the only 24/7 anime channel in the US) yet.

If you want the FUNimation Channel for your home…

All you need to do is request it.

Step 1. Call a Direct TV Operator
Step 2. Ask for Customer Service Rep
Politely…please
Step 3. Explain to them that FUNimation Channel is a 24 hour anime channel
Step 4. Let them know you would keep with them or switch providers to receive the channel.

Also….

Send note in your next Direct TV bill

Fill out customer service forms on Direct TV’s websites

Go to Direct TV’s office and ask in person!
Better yet…bring them baked goods every week until they add the channel.

That’s the best way to let the cable/dish companies know you want the channel. They file these requests and send them to the corporate offices for review.

Chris asks…

Should I get Dish Network or Direct TV?

I don’t have High Definition. I just watch all the documentary channels.

Nagesh answers:

Direct TV is much much better PLUS its cheaper.Of course at 1st all companies offer introductory offers like free service but Direct TV does that too.

You get free HBO & or Starz & I think Cinemax free for 3 months PLUS a discounted monthly rate 4 about 6 months. BUT you want something that you will enjoy in the long run which is why u should choose DirectTV.

In the long run the service is cheaper & you get more for your money. Mine runs $43.99 a month with over 150 channels PLUS they are constantly adding new channels at no extra cost & I have 10 channels of HBO & 13 channels of Starz for only $23 extra a month plus I have a subscription NBAtv which covers the whole pre to post seasons on 15 channels and there are lots of other sports packages available.

ALSO you have FREE XM radio of over 120 channels and the system is very user friendly and very easy to program things to watch that change the channel 4 you, unlike some cable/satellite company’s where u have to verify what u want to watch instead of instantly changing for you.

Plus their customer service is pretty good too I must say. I have had only 1 problem & they credited my account to more than enough & offered free movie channels (for a limited time, of course) for my trouble.

So, in closing your clear choice should be Direct TV BUT also be aware that initially there is a 1 year contract to establish service with them, however Dish Network does the same. Hope I could be of some assistance to you.
Good Luck!!!

Thomas asks…

Direct TV problem?

Having some major issues with Direct TV.Every week for two to three days my tv goes down. The bill is paid and I checked the signal on the menu I have a 97% singal strength. But all of the channels I have order say Channel not ordered. It happens on both my systems.Tried resetting everything but nothing helps. And costumer service isn’t much help.Anyone have the same issue?
The dish has been moved twice.I’ll probley just switch to Dish Network. My DVDR and everything even my remotes from Direct Tv are giving me problems. They really dont seem to know what the problem could be.

Nagesh answers:

I have recently noticed that customer service at direct tv has gone down. One person tells me one thing another person tells me another etc.. The only real problem I’ve been having lately is that my dvrs need to be reset all the time and they goof up credits. Usually, their customer service is good. I, too, am surprised they can’t help. What I do is just keep calling and I would ask for credits for the days that the service doesn’t work. But, you have to be persistant and call each time it goes down.

Susan asks…

thinking about getting direct tv?

sick of the comcast bills, even after the promo period is i up, DTV will still be a lot cheaper.

I live in Chicago so we harsh winters as many of you might know.

I can live with comcast, but id like to switch over.

Anything I should know about it?
Does it go out a lot?
Hows customer service?

Richard asks…

Direct TV vs Comcast vs Verizon?

Please unbiased company workers only, which cable company is the best one for service, pricing, etc. I’m moving and would like a double play type of package. Never had Direct TV and was considering trying them out, however, there is a two year contract, and not sure if that’s a good idea, especially if you wind up unhappy with the service. Verizon also advertises a two year contract, and as for Comcast, I’m at the end of my rope with that company. Thanks for any input or feedback…

Nagesh answers:

I just moved six months ago. I had Direct TV where I was and loved it! Though their internet is a little slower than Comcast, their TV was great and their customer service was awesome. You will pay more for Direct TV over Comcast, but it really is worth it. (Can’t have direct tv where I am because the owner of this apartment building will not allow dishes on the building.)

Comcast on the other hand has far less channels, their customer service sucks, their boxes you have to rent and they constantly crash and freeze. (Stuck with comcast in this area because there are no other providers in the area)

My sister lives near by and she has Verizon Fios and she can hardly ever stay connected, she has phone, Tv and internet through them and the tv picture is always horrible (looks like the crap you see on youtube with the lag issues)
