How do I burn a DVD from a file I have on my computeR?
I have a downloaded version of an old movie that I‘m looking to burn to a DVD. The movie (on my computer) is in AVI format, and I have a DVD burner. I have DVD Shrink but I‘m not sure how to make it work in my favor! Please and thanks!
Nagesh answers:
You really should not be talking about that here.
But do you have a divx dvd player.
If you do then you don’t need to convert you can burn and play.
If not then dvd shrink is not a converter its just a ripping and shrinking program.
If you need it in dvd format you will need a converter.
I use convertx to dvd.
Excellent program for converting movies.

How Do You Play GIF’s On The New Windows Movie Maker?
Every time I try to play a gif, it just stays as a picture! How do I play a gif on it? If you can‘t, How can I download the old movie maker?
Nagesh answers:
I both make my own gifs and download gifs from websites. About half of the ones I download won’t work in Movie Maker (Vista, 6.0). I don’t know why.
Here are links to the XP (2.6) and Vista (6.0) versions of Movie Maker for Windows 7.

Blaine’s downloads are clean and safe. I use many of his Movie Maker add-ons. The Vista version isn’t available as a download from Microsoft because it was part of the Vista operating system installation. Blaine has combined the program with a Windows 7 installer.

What format is needed for quicktime player when downloading from pirate bay?
I always download movies from pirate bay. When they fully download, i open the files and it says i need some other type of advanced quicktime player thing..how to i get this?
Nagesh answers:
1. This MIGHT be a total scam. I remember when downloading a old Tv series, it asked me to signup and download this special media player and when I researched more on it other people posted that it was a total scam, and it asks for money.
2. You could update QuickTime player for free in the net. This could solve your problem.
QuickTime uses .mp4 or .mpeg default but it can play a lot of other formats too. You could also use other video playing programs like VLC or Windows Movie Player.
3. This download sucks. Find another suitable video.
Note. When downloading from torrent sites like pirate bay, be cautious of scams, malware and other stuff, and also don’t be downloading copyrighted material.

How do i save old home movies on my computer?
I have never done this before. I am wanting to include some old home movies, on a slide show that I am doing for a friends wedding. The movies I want to include are old home movies that have been transfered from VHS to DVD. Problem is how does one save from the DVD onto their computer. Or does anyone know how I would transfer the home movie from the VHS tape onto my computer. What kind of VCR would I need to use. Thanks for any and all of you help. I really appreciate it a lot.
Nagesh answers:
The first way is to download a free, legal program called handbrake. You cam use it to rip non copywrite protected DVDs and can save them in any format.
The second way is from VCR to pc. There are special cards made (google pinnacle studios). That add plugs to the back of the pc to plug the VCR into. Then you play the video while the program that came with the pc card records it. You can then save to whatever format you want.
