How do i load new music on my ipod from a new computer?
My old laptop died on me and i put itunes on my new computer now i cant get songs i download on the new computer to upload onto the ipod? I dont want to repay for all the songs what do i do?
Nagesh answers:
Enable disk mode on ipod/open ipod in explorer/click tools/click folder options/click view/click “show hidden files and folders/click apply and ok
open ipod control/music
all your music is in the “music” folder as well as your movies. They will have funny names but will change to look like normal once they are added into the itunes library.
Or you can get a program called ehpod
BTW windows only
Michael asks…
What is a good website to download songs for an Ipod?
I need a good website to download songs for my Ipod touch. Note: Free downloads?
Did I forget to mention I would like free downloads of music?
Nagesh answers:
ITunes is the best place to purchase music for an iPod. It has the best quality of music and it is legal. The only downside is you have to pay. But you can use your debit card or if you don’t want that to be on the Internet, you can purchase an iTunes card at walmart or other stores and redeem the code and purchase songs that way. Newer songs are 1.29 a piece. Older songs are .99 a piece. Also there are many compilations that you can buy rather than purchasing songs one by one. And buying full albums also come out to be cheaper than buying the songs separately. There’s also some free downloads as well. And videos and movies are available for purchase and there are some free videos or movies as well.
Mary asks…
Is there a way to save an iTunes library and put it on another computer?
I just bought a new computer and don’t want to have to re-download all my CDs and stuff…Is there anyway to save all my music and put it on iTunes on my new computer?
Nagesh answers:
You can Export the library headlines only i.e. The playlists, arrangement of the songs, etc…
By doing the following:
1- choose which library you want to export (music, or any playlist) – sometimes ITunes allow to do the same for movies, TVShows and podCasts.
2- click the right mouse button —-> choose Export song list.
(this will give you an XML file that contains all that playlist information). Or
file —-> library —-> Export library – to export only the library Music-. Or
file —-> library —-> Export playlist – to export only the chosen library -.
3- in the new computer, do the following:
* file —-> library —-> Import playlist.
* then put all the file in the exact same location in the old computer.
E.g. If they were in “D:musicmp3” in the old one.
You must put them in “D:musicmp3” in the new one.
Otherwise you will have to reload them again to the same playlist but you will lose all the ratings.

Hello there, as long as your songs are still on your iPod, you can get them back to your computer and iTunes easily.
This is how I did. I used MediaWidget to move all library files from my iPod onto my computer and iTunes http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/MediaWidget.htm
It can transfer all iPod content to the iTunes on your computer, including iPod music, movies, playlists, videos, podcasts, ratings, last played, and more. It’s such a powerful one that many friends around me have used it for a long time. Easy and safe.
Now all files are on your computer and iTunes, you can sync your iPod with it smoothly without deleting any files.
Just free download it to try.
